FOTD: Flying Without Wings... Or is there?

Okay, so I was trying to look fierce here. FAIL. Hahaha!

I missed posting FOTDs! I haven’t posted one in awhile because I don’t do much makeup nowadays. I have been very busy with work so I didn’t have that much luxury of time to go do my makeup. It feels refreshing but I do miss it. So, yesterday (Wednesday – February 06, 2013), my sister asked me to accompany her to DLSU to fix some paper works and stuff and as luck would have it, it’s also their university week; but not much booth yet ‘cos it’s still the start of the week. However, I was able to check out some, which were pretty awesome.

For this day, I opted for a nice and light makeup because I know I’d be sweating and all. Hey, we’re commuting after all! We will ride a jeep, walk to the LRT then LRT from Monumento to Vito Cruz. So for all you non-commuters there, it’s not all easy-breezy to commute, okay? So if I’d be wearing full makeup, it’ll just make my face hulas prone! Man, that was funny when I hash-tagged it in Instagram: #HulasProne. Well, at least for me it was.

- V&M Naturals Smooch Lip Detox Lip Butter Balm with SPF15

- Wet N Wild Silk Finish Lipstick (Fuchsia with Blue Pearl)

HOW I DID IT:

First is I used my finger, yes, my damn fingers to apply the BB Cream all over my face and then used my Sigma Miss Taylor brush to set it with the Snoe Fresh Custard Face and Body Powder. Afterwards, I used the Careline Pimple Concealer in Oriental and applied it on my under eye area and blended it with my fingers as well and used the Snoe powder to set it again.

Afterwards, I used the Ever Bilena Color Pencil in Brown to fill in my brows and then to tame ‘em, I used the ELF Lash & Brow Mascara. For all those who are asking for a tutorial on how I do my brows, I’m still thinking on how I’d present it. Hahaha! Need to find time and to really document it well. I’ve had mixed reactions on my brows but I’m happy with them. Some people think it’s cool, some think it’s fierce, others think it’s scary, but I like it thick and bold. Anyway, I am not fond of putting wings on my eyes but I did it for this look ‘cos I just feel like it! So I kind made it a bit exaggerated because like what I’ve said, I am not fond of putting wings on my eye so might as well make the most out of it in this look, right?

Now for the finishing touches, I used the Ever Bilena Cheek Blush on the apples of my cheek with the help of my trusted Charm brush. Then, for my lips, I used the V&M Lip Balm first and then swiped the Wet N Wild lipstick on top.

I know this look is not much but I love how light it feels and it can pass as an everyday makeup look, right? Although I am a beauty blogger and I love and enjoy wearing makeup, there are just those moments that I cannot always do my makeup so thoroughly or I won’t have the luxury of time to go apply makeup on. I do have other priorities too like my ever-demanding but enjoyable work. I’d be sweating a lot, running around and stuff so I can’t be all full-force on my makeup.
