Hey guys, this day has been pretty terrible for me ; but I've got some things to share with you all so I really don't mind blogging tonight. Anyway, before I go ahead with the main reason for this post, let me just tell you guys that the judges for my I am Beautiful and I Can Rock the World Blogging Contest had just given me their votes as to which blog post entry is their favorite. Well, I won't be announcing the winners tonight, but definitely, within this week. Just letting you guys on a little update. So, now, onto the main event!
We have world-class talents here in the Philippines, agree? We may be living in a third world country but it sure did not stop a lot of our fellow Filipinos to stand up and show the world what the Filipino race really is made of. May only be half Filipino but just look at Jessica Sanchez and how she's doing in American Idol. Hell, I'm not an AI fan but Jessica's all over the news. Look at Pacquiao, Lea Salonga, Charice, Michael Cinco... So many great talents. But that doesn't stop there, you see, we have another Filipino talent who is certainly making her way to the global Fashion industry - Happy Andrada.
Just this week, I received a message from Viva Andrada of Fashion Art (F*ART). She invited me to an event in the F*ART g allery which is titled, Tattoo My Colors (hence the title of my post). Upon seeing the title I was like... Body art? Then I saw the poster... An art exhibit and the sample art works on the invitation are just a smashing beauty of colors. You see, I've been an art appreciator ever since. I consider myself artistic... In my own way, that is. Haha! But I'm more of a writer so... There!
FART. You must be giggling right now. Well, it's not really FART as in literally, the gas coming out of your butt crack. F*ART actually, as in Fashion and ART. Pretty cool name, right? Last Saturday, February 4, 2012, I attended the F*ART party after receiving an email invitation from Viva Andrada, one of the two owners of this very cool store. There are two reasons why they threw a F*ART party: It's F*ART's 5th anniversary party and it also serves as Happy Andrada's send off party. Happy's the other owner of F*ART. Cool names, right? Viva and Happy.
