FOTD: The Millennial Alpha Makeup Look

It was in college when I first watched an episode of Sex and the City and immediately got hooked. After that, I’ve dreamed of being a writer, living on my own, going on night outs with my friends… But those didn’t happen all at the same time and things weren’t as easy as how I thought it will be.

FOTD: Fresh Office Girl Makeup Look

To tell you quite frankly, I'm not a big fan of summer. Well, I guess when I was still in school I would count down the days when summer would come just because I can stay up late, wake up late, and just play all day; but it's different when you're already working.

Summer? Ano 'yun? (What is that?)

FOTD: The Blur of the Stars

One thing I love about putting makeup on is the fact that you can physically look like and be like anyone or anything you want to be. With the right skills, you can transform into a surreal character or you can just re-create your whole look. That is why I consider makeup to be an art and I love creating various looks and playing with the colors in my palette. When I did this makeup look, I was actually inspired by Barbie.

A Little Updating on Our Makeup Stash, Shall We?

Okay, so every single fashion blogger has announced that EMERALD was hailed as the color of the year by PANTONE, the global authority on color and provider of professional color standards for the design industries. Some people may have gone gaga over wearing something emerald or just adding a touch of it in their everyday clothes or look. Well, you know me; I’m not the kind who follows the trend or whatever unless it personally pleases me and often times, what personally pleases me does not please most people. Hahaha! Oh well, it’s called individuality. However, when Virginia Olsen sent me an email regarding the official Spring Colors of 2013, I just had to pause and admire the beauty of what Virginia Olsen has got in store for all you trendy gays and gals!

Learn the Basics in Mineral Makeup Application!

Happy New Year people! I know you’re like expecting me to write a 2012 closing post, just like what I did last year, and maybe a Hello 2013 post, but that’s just so cliché so I will leave that to my personal blog page: Gelleesh.tumblr.com. Yes, I did make a Tumblr for my personal stuff, remember? Anyway, I hope you all had a wonderful New Year ’s Eve celebration because ours was kinda sucky. Hahaha! Will tell you guys all about it in my personal blog post in Tumblr but right now, I’d love to tell you guys about awesome news.

Dramat-EYES with Virginia Olsen

I did not grow up loving makeup. I actually vowed to never wear makeup, aside from powder, and to just rely on natural beauty.

I grew up to be a daddy’s girl. Since we’re all girls and my dad never had a son whom he could play video games and all those shits with, he might have figured to give us boyish hobbies, instead. Unintentional, I think, but if it is, it’s quite sneaky. Ever since I was a little kid, I grew up playing video games with my dad. And no, I am not a fan of those Final Fantasy kind of games, but more of fighting games and what got me more hooked, and made me more geeky is my obsession with Resident Evil and the survival horror genre of games. I was into rock music (Slip Knot, Cradle of Filth, Lacuna Coil, etc.) and I never watched The Notebook or any of those romantic movie shits. I was a horror movie girl and my dad even bought me these DVD Collection of Classic Zombie movies, and it made me so happy.

However, college kind of got me getting all girly. I studied at St. Paul University Manila, I took up Mass Communication major in Communication and I started applying makeup and I was not good at it. In fact, my makeup was a total crap! I used to put bright blue on my lids and thought they were cool and made me look hot.

Virginia Olsen Mineral Eyeshadow

I have been on tipid mode these past few days and that is because I'm celebrating my birthday on September. Yipee! Anyway, as much as I wanted to do something big on my day, I can't because of the devastating effect of the Habagat and the flooding in my life. But I'm glad that even though I went on a mini-hiatus (due to the flood), some brands and PR's were still sending me emails, giving me stuff and inviting me to events because they still trust my blogs. And, of course, to my lovely readers who checks out my blog every once in awhile. It just makes me want to go back to my regular blogging program ASAP.

Anyway, one of the brands, which have contacted me to try out their products is the Virginia Olsen Minerals. I once stumbled upon their website and I had plans of buying and trying out some of their products. However, since I was so saving up, I can't, at least not at the moment. So I was thrilled when they offered me to try out their products. So, let me share you my thoughts on their mineral eyeshadows.
