Physiogel Daily Moisture Therapy for Dry & Sensitive Skin

I have sensitive-skinned friends who swear by Physiogel products. Personally, I have yet to try any from them (until now, obviously) because I know I don’t have sensitive skin and it’s pretty obvious with how adventurous I am with the makeup and skin care products I’ve used. I can only imagine the struggle that my sensitive-skinned friends go through. As much as they’d want to try new products, they just can’t and they have to be extra careful all the time because when they get a breakout, it can sometimes be far worse than what I would call my breakout.

So when Physiogel sent me their new Daily Moisture Therapy line to try out, I got so excited that I have something now to share to my sensitive-skinned friends and blog readers. I’ve been using this line religiously for about two weeks now and here are my thoughts:

PHYSIOGEL DAILY MOISTURE THERAPY DERMO-CLEANSER

According to the packaging: This gentle cleansing gel is appropriate for frequent use with or without rinsing. Also suitable for babies and children. No colorants.

The Good Bits:

With makeup!
Using the cream cleanser here.
Done! Squeaky clean with no makeup anymore! :D
I am in love with this product. I do not believe in cleansers which can be used without water but when a brownout happened at my place because of the heavy rain, I got lazy and told myself, “what the heck, I’m trying this out without water!” It did a really good job with cleaning up my face and even removing my makeup. Wow! Oh and no worries with regard to the scent… It doesn’t smell like anything. It’s basically scent-less (is that even a word?).

The Bad Bits:

None I can think of. I am in love with this product. What can I say? I love this product.

Over-All:

I am buying my next one and will have this as a staple in my skin care routine. For the price of PHP220.00, you are getting more than your money’s worth. I'm giving it a rating of 10/10.

PHYSIOGEL DAILY MOISTURE BODY LOTION

According to the packaging: This light weight, fast absorbing lotion spreads easily and is appropriate for all over body use. Also suitable for babies and children. Clinically tested by dermatologists. Noncomedogenic and hypoallergenic.

The Good Bits:

One of the things I look for in a lotion is that it should be fast absorbing and I’m glad this one is. It doesn’t feel sticky and icky upon application, it doesn’t have a scent too, and it gives your skin just the right amount of moisture it needs. Well aside from my personal experience, the best part of this is the science behind why it gives your skin so much protection. According to Physiogel, it uses a BioMimic Technology® formula that mimics the skin’s very own lipids so that it can restore the skin’s natural barrier to lock-in moisture and improve hydration. Oh and It also forms a layer of protective barrier on the skin, preventing harmful irritants or allergens from penetrating to make skin less sensitive.

The Bad Bits:

I prefer using this only at night because it doesn’t have any SPF. Because I go out and travel a lot both for leisure and work, I need a day lotion/moisturizer which can be an all-in-one product. Moisturizing, fast-drying, and has SPF.

Over-All:

I like it but it lacks something I need. I think that part of the protection should include SPF but hey, it’s still a good product which I would recommend perfect for night use. Yep, moisturize even at night. This product costs PHP420.00. My rating for this is 8/10.

PHYSIOGEL DAILY MOISTURE THERAPY CREAM

According to its packaging: The cream works naturally and gently with your skin to repair its moisture barrier and make skin less sensitive. The advanced BioMimic Technology® accelerates dry skin repair by supporting the natural process of the skin.

The Good Bits:

Just like the rest of the Daily Moisture Therapy line, it doesn’t have any scent and I love the moisturized feeling it gives your skin. I use it more of as a night cream than a day cream and I’m happy that after waking up from my beauty sleep, I really feel that the moisturizing properties of this product has worked its way into my skin.

The Bad Bits:

I tried using it as a day cream but I didn’t quite like it as that. First of all, it doesn’t have SPF content and it doesn’t get easily absorbed by the skin. You need to wait quite long for it to get absorbed and it feels kind of a bit sticky. Since I prefer my makeup matte and long lasting, this will not be a good day cream for me.

Over-All:

I will continue using this product as a night cream as it really does work best that way for me. It costs PHP750.00 and my rating for this is 7/10.

I love this line and would highly recommend to people with dry and sensitive skin. I can already think of friends and family members who would be happy to try this out. The cleanser is my ultimate favorite and is the one I’m sure of purchasing once my stock runs out.

  8. I don't think I've seen this brand here in Canada, is it a local brand? The cleanser did such a brilliant job removing your makeup, it's pretty impressive.

    1. It's not originally from the Philippines, actually. When I checked their website, true that they're not available in Canada but they're available in the US actually. Produced by GSK (GlaxoSmithKline) :)

  10. These sound like great products. I've actually never heard of them before. Unfortunately, I have the exact opposite skin haha. My skin is oily and non-sensitive, so these probably wouldn't be something I'd try. I am wondering what Shireen is too. Is this a local product to you? Or can you find it in the US? Thanks for sharing! I love reading skin care reviews and discovering new stuff eeeep!

  21. What? A no-rinse cleanser? That is interesting! I would love to try that but I am very OC and I don't think I would feel comfortable not rinsing my face. But that is a very interesting concept. Hmmm....thinking. :)

  31. I also like Physiogel products and I do agree that they work best during the evening. I also prefer using moisturizers with SPF during day time although most of the time I use a separate product or sunscreen if I need added protection. :P
