Whenever we would be thrown a question regarding regrets we’ve had in the past, the most common answer is always, “I don’t have any regrets...” But honestly, deep down inside, we know there are things, which we should not have done and we just know that things might be better if they never happened; but who are we to know? We don’t have the power to go back in time, erase those moments and just continue living and being better. There would be times when I wish I didn’t do the mistakes I have done in the past; but after a few moments, I would just smile and say to myself, “silly you, if they never happened, would you ever be this strong?”

OOTD: Waiting on your Supernova

Sometimes, when things don’t work out as how we plan them to be, we get so discouraged that it just feels like we want to give up and just let things happen by themselves; but the moment we do that, we fail to realize that these things are just challenges bound to make us stronger, better and shine brighter than before. The journey, itself, is created to be appreciated and to be lived as it is.

And I though this Christmas will bring me something I have long been craving for.

But then again, things don’t always go according to how we want and plan them to be. Just like what I always say, “shit happens,” and all we can do is to deal with the present and make the most out of it. I am, and never will be, the type who sulks into deep depression when things don’t go my way. I find ways on how I can deviate my attention into something more joyful and more worth it. This Christmas, it’s actually not that hard.

OOTD: Sometimes it's all too much for Me

Something amazing happened and it pushed me to expecting too much again. I hate setting expectations but, sometimes, I just can’t help it. Things are really not going bad. As a matter of fact, they’re all going great, or so I think. I did some things that I don’t usually do and although I am scared that things might not go as how my mind projected them to be, I guess all I have to do is live life as it is and just enjoy each moment. I don’t want to hold back, because if I do, I might do some things that could make things more complicated; but if I don’t, it might push me off of a cliff and I’d end up falling alone.

OOTD: Ignite the Light and Let it Shine

This is not a totally new outfit. As a matter of fact, I have already posted this before; but if you would take a closer look there were some minor changes with the overall look, not of the clothes, but the way I styled it by adding some accessories and changing some parts of it. I was just suppose to blog about the When In Manila Christmas Party in Arcama last night but I have decided to convert it in an outfit post since I don’t have much pictures of the event and I was suddenly inspired by what happened today, which I can, somehow, connect to an unexpected thing at last night’s party.

When I told you guys that JUNE would be a pretty awesome month for me, I wasn’t just talking about my SECOND BLOG ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION. It was also about people I love coming to the Philippines for a well-deserved vacation and a chance for me to spend some time with them. Last night (June 11, 2013), my ninang with the rest of her family, arrived here in the Philippines from Iowa and they’d be staying for almost a month. What excites me more is the fact that I’d be able to hang out with one of my closest cousins who is a smart and barely 18 year old girl.

 I am a sucker for Japanese school girl outfits. If only I would look kawaii in one, why not, right? But I don’t have that cosplaying appeal in me so I guess I’d settle for the slightly Japanese school girl look, which might look okay on me, at least.

Welcome to your Second Closet!

It was just some randomly browsing in Facebook for some good laughs when I accidentally stumbled upon this new online shop in my newsfeed – Second ClosetOnline Clothing. I looked at the clothes and accessories and I was so drawn to the stuff they sell. I showed it to my sister and she fancied the tops they offer. My sister’s quite the pihikan type when it comes to clothing, so if she liked something, it must be really good.

Here in the Philippines, it's customary to go to the cemetery on All Saints' and All Souls' Day. It actually kind of becomes a mini-reunion of some sort with your whole clan so everyone's pretty excited for it. Plus! This year's All Saints' and All Souls' Day is a super long weekend. Isn't that just awesome? Everyone's pretty excited for it and I'm one of them. Yipee! Although we just went to the nearest cemetery and it wasn't a big reunion because I just live next door to my grandparents and aunts and uncles and cousins, it was still a pretty awesome night with all of 'em. Best part of it all is getting to try all the street foods available just at the entrance of the cemetery.

Happy weekend! Well, the weekend's almost over and tomorrow (Monday) most of us would be going to work/school. But before the weekdays say hello, let me share with you what I wore yesterday when we went to church. Yup, we attended the anticipated mass yesterday because we would love to have the whole Sunday to ourselves and just sit back, relax, watch a good movie and bum out the whole day at home.
