Luntiang Kinabukasan

KMBI (Kabalikat para sa Maunlad na Buhay Inc.), in collaboration with Haribon Foundation, conducted a one day tree planting activity on August 20, 2011 at Brgy. Cuyambay, Tanay, Rizal, where 1,733 seedlings of native trees were planted.
KMBI Chairman and President, Damiana Exiomo
Although I wasn't able to attend this tree planting activity,  I'm so glad that my current work supports these kinds of stuff. All my officemates were there even the Board Members. Talk about going down and dirty for a good cause!
KMBI Bus! :D

Narra, Antipolo, Kamagong, Lipote, Lanite, Balobo, Kupang, Lauan, Malapapaya, Dao, Kalumpit, Amugis, Igyo, Ilang-ilang, Lamio, Molave, Bitaog, and Balitbitan are among the native trees that KMBI planted. Haribon Foundation provided the said seedlings as part of the proceeds of KMBI’s donation in 2010 to support the Road to 2020 project.

In cooperation with Haribon Foundation
The tree planting project aims to contribute to the effort on environmental preservation and develop awareness among board, staff, and clients on the importance of trees and its effect on our lives.

I had my MRI that day so I wasn't able to attend this; but count me in next time, okay? I would want to experience planting trees. Oh, our other branches conducted tree planting activities in different parts of the country as well and as of September 02, 2011, KMBI branches have already planted 87,759 seedlings. Amazing, right?

KMBI is a microfinance Non-Government Organization with ISO 9001:2008. For more info about what they do and their future projects, you can check them out on the web at: http://www.kmbi.org.ph
