Be Beautiful

Whether we admit it or not, we live in a very judgmental world. And I, too, have my own "being judgmental" moments and we can't just help it. But what I have learned from what I've been through and with the people I've been with is that it is important to learn how to love and take care of yourself and your words. 


Okay, so what does this have to do with beauty blogging?

ME :)

Being a plus-sized beauty blogger isn't really an easy road. I once had a comment in my weebly blog and it was a year old comment already (but I've just seen it recently) that a random person commented that I don't need to use makeup and just lose weight because I won't be beautiful no matter how much makeup I put on. Harsh? 


Here's the thing. I love myself and how I look and no matter how many harsh words enter my ears or goes through my sight, no one can ever change my feelings towards myself. I have insecurities. I mean, come on, who doesn't? But it doesn't mean that I would always be emo about them, right? Even though I am not the average pretty skinny long-haired and mestiza girl, I have managed to do the things I love doing and get a job which I am so much in love with. Now who told you fat girls will have a miserable life? LOL


I've seen people obsess about their weight and I won't be one of them BUT... Yes, there is a but. It doesn't mean I do not want to lose weight. If you're overweight, happy and healthy well then that's fine; but if your weight is making you unhealthy, then do something, right? Being beautiful is not just about having the most blemish-free skin but also being beautiful inside and that includes being healthy. I once tweeted this: "I wasn't born fat; I just eat a lot. #FACT" That is true and that is also why I know what I should do now with my health issue.  I need to start exercising and eating less but not obsess about being thin and losing weight fast for that would give me more health issues. I will do this the right way and no more shortcuts!


No, I do not have a high-blood nor am I diabetic. I don't have those and I never plan on having them that's why I decided to lose some weight. My right knee has a problem and if I try to lose weight, it might help and I'm having hormonal imbalance too. Yup, that's the reason.

You are beautiful whatever age, weight, shape or size you are in. If you want to change something in the way you look  do it for yourself and not for other people :)

I learned that just because I want to lose weight doesn't mean it's because I'm insecure. It's just because I want to be healthy. But keep in mind that if you're doing this, do it for yourself and not because someone told you you're ugly because you're fat. FAT people can be BEAUTIFUL if you know how to take care of yourself. That is why we should also be careful of what we say to other people especially if we REALLY and GENUINELY mean them well.


I don't think I need to tell you what or how to tell someone if you think there's something wrong with them. Consider how they would feel. Not everyone can be a tough as you in handling criticisms and sometimes, the more you push it to them, the more they neglect it.


I want this blog entry to be the start. The start of a new year and a new life to me and how I need to take care of my body more. I am fat and I'm not scared to admit it and I'm gonna try to lose weight the right way because I need to be healthy and not because I am ugly. I will never let words depress me into doing a shortcut! ;)
