Just To See Monkeys

Hi everyone! How's your summer vacation so far? I hope you're all having a wonderful time. The weather's so perfect for a beach trip with your friends or family, right? Speaking of beach fun, our vacation was EPIC weird! Hahaha! I would love to share with you guys what we did today and what made this say EPIC weird. BTW, I have awesome parents so thanks to them, we've experienced a lot of weird road trips.


Yesterday, we were planning on going to Baler. We're so looking forward on taking surfing lessons and nature trekking. However, when we've encountered a blog post telling how long it will take us to get to Baler plus seeing the map, we've decided to post pone it on December when we're more ready. You see, my parents are super impulsive when it comes to going out. We don't have any idea where to go. We just hop in to Sportivo and drive wherever our instincts tell us to go and this Holy Week vacation was not excused.


We've had a northern Luzon road trip without a real itinerary. We just relied on signs as to what tourist spot we'll just pass by and by night, we just wait till we see an inn we would like to stay at. Crazy, huh? There was even a time when we drove to the end of NLEX just because we feel like doing so. Dad loves driving. That explains it, huh?


So we just decided to go to Morong Bataan where there would supposedly be lots of beach resorts. We left home at around 4AM and when we got to Morong, all the beach resorts are full. There were, however, two resorts which still has a vacant room but the room and the CR pretty much sucks and my mum wants to relax so we said "no". Then, we decided to just look for resorts in Subic, but as luck would have it, still no vacancy. Our gas is running low and we just dunno where to go. Then dad said, "Let's just go back to Bulacan!" and I was like, "Whaaaaaat?!" I mean, you can't really blame me. We came to Bataan and Subic just to see a monkey and take a picture of its ass? Cummon! But we really can't find an available room in any good beach resorts so we just gave it up.


But the journey doesn't stop there, we hopped from one resort to another in Bulacan. We tried our luck in 8 Waves but the last room was taken by my tito who also impulsively went to 8 Waves just because they want to go out this hot summer day. Sucks, I know.


But finally, after the long and agonizing for my ass ride, we got to Lawiswis Kawayan in Calumpit, Bulacan. One room was just vacated so we grabbed it immediately. How was our stay? As I'm writing this post, we're still in Lawiswis Kawayan. I will post a separate blog post about our stay and experience here so better watch out for it.


I hope I didn't bore you with this blog post. Told 'ya I'd be posting more personal stuff this vacation. Anyway, we learned one thing and that is... If you want to go out of town during the Holy Week, plan it well. We thought we could get away with it like our Northern Luzon Christmas Roadtrip. We stand corrected and learned our lesson.
