Shop Feature: Pitaka - Your Lifestyle Billfold

All my regular blog readers know that I am full support with the local makeup industry and I make it a point to try out local makeup products and give you all my thoughts about it. But my love for local products doesn't stop on makeup. I can still remember the time when I went to the Global Pinoy Bazaar last year organized by Yabang Pinoy. That's when I discovered how innovative and awesome our Filipino entrepreneurs are. You see, there's this common misconception that when you say Filipino products, we'd think about native stuff; but hey, there's more to Filipino products than that!

One of the shops/brands I have discovered through the Global Pinoy Bazaar, is PITAKA. For the knowledge of my non-Filipino readers, Pitaka is a Filipino word for wallet. I just had to stop by their booth because they've got such awesome and innovative designs. You see, they're not just ordinary wallets. They're made out of something you wouldn't expect wallets are supposed to be made of. They're made from outdoor tarpaulin! Bet you didn't expect that, huh?

Pitaka prides itself with Pinoy ad hoc artworks inspired by everyday Pinoy culture which is evident in its design and colors. Aside from its cool and fun designs, it's also durable and can fit your id's, coins, and even a small mobile phone. Oh, and just recently, they have released their new products which are iPad cases and passport holders. Awesome, right?

But you know what's more exciting? You can actually customize the designs for a minimum purchase order. People have ordered from them to be used as a corporate giveaway or souvenirs for various occasions like birthdays, weddings, baptism, etc. Isn't a Pitaka giveaway a fresh and innovative idea for your giveaways?
