Despite of my constant adulting,
there is still a kid in me that comes out every once in a while. Some friends would often make fun of my being a “closet geek” because even though I’m into
makeup and fashion, I’m still a Resident Evil fangirl, a certified Whovian, and
a big board game fan. So now that I’ve made that announcement, I guess I’m no
longer “little miss closet geek” eh?
Trying out FUN RULES HERE was something I’m really excited
about. I was asked to choose between: Fun Ranch, Lazer Maxx, and Jumpyard, and
knowing the kid inside of me I preferred Jumpyard. I miss jumping around in
trampolines and I’d like to try diving into a pool of foam. It sounds like a
child’s perfect playhouse but Jumpyard has its age/height limit so it’s really
an adult’s playhouse in case you’d want to leave adulting for a while.
I went with my younger workmates and they were also really
excited to jump and play around. I was asked to call prior to visiting since it
will be hard to play around the area if it will be packed with jumpers. So they
gave us a schedule that will allow us to have the place almost to ourselves. We
can jump, shout, and laugh without anyone minding!
As soon as we got there, we were asked to sign a waiver and
we were given a pair of non-slippery socks. After we finished signing, we were
directed inside the playhouse (please let me call it a playhouse) and were asked
to follow the stretching instructional video to prevent getting cramps. Oh and
they will ask you to also do some warm up jumps first before going extreme (if
you plan on going extreme that is!) for your muscles’ safety, of course.
I actually didn’t expect jumping on trampolines with your
friends and diving in foam pits would be this fun! Oh and if you will exhaust all
of your time in Jumpyard, it can also work as a good workout. A lot of jumping,
a lot of sweat, and hopefully burned calories! My guy friends enjoyed playing
basketball while on the trampoline while us, girls, were busy with getting the
perfect picture-worthy jump shot.
The experience was fun, yes, but let me give you a little
warning… You can get hurt here if you don’t follow their instructions. Before
our session started, included in the video was instructions on how you can
perfectly land from a jump. They will tell you to try to land, if not on both
of your feet, at least on your buttocks or back.
I DIDN’T PAY ATTENTION.
In one of my jumps, I was so sure that I wouldn’t land on my
feet but still insisted instead of trying to land on my butt or back instead…
And so I twisted my ankle upon landing and got a severe ligament damage on my
right foot (see video above on how I twisted my ankle). I was on leave for a month at work and was required to wear a cast
for a few weeks too.
Oh and I made another stupid decision. After my ankle was twisted, I still didn’t
stop jumping because I wasn’t satisfied with my jump shots… I still jumped for
a few minutes despite of the injury and that really made things worse. So be
careful and pay attention to the video they’ll be showing you before jumping ah!
After our jumping session, we were served with snacks which is a total delight to our tummies. I’m not a fan of sweets but I loved the S’mores dip. It actually felt like we’re in a children’s party and we’re delighted to be pleased like kids.
Fun Rules Here! houses
Fun Ranch (for kids most probably), Lazer Maxx (Laser Tag Arena), and Jumpyard.
So to all my Pampanga-based readers and friends, it would really be a great
barkada bonding. Laser tag next time, please! Any takers?
It looks like so much fun and delicious food!

I LOVE doing stuff like this! We did one last year with our friends and it was so much fun. I think I burned so many calories too haha. My boyfriend was trying to teach me all these tricks. I swear boys are just naturally acrobatic. I didn't get the flipping very well. And holy crap that food looks amazing. When I got done jumping I was freaking starving.
ReplyDeleteVery sorry to hear about your ankle. That video is crazy! Luckily I didnt have any problems, but I am also the safe child in my group of friends haha. My boyfriend definitely hurt himself a few times, though not to your extent. I hope you are feeling better!
