Named after the 60s fashion model turned award winning fashion
photographer, this collection is said to be limited edition and is the 2016
Holiday collection of NARS. The only reason why I got this blush is because a
fellow makeup junkie friend of mine bought a lot of products and this is one of
those she tried once and did not like… So I bought it from her (Hooray for
fellow makeup junkie friends!).
I would describe this as a warm pinkish red blush with a bit
of shimmer. There were actually two blushes released under this collection: the
Impudique and Isadora. When I checked the Isadora shade, I noticed that
Impudique is the darker and bolder blush and I guess it was destiny that I got
this because I am in love with it now.
THE GOOD BITS:
Pigmentation is superb. A little really does go a long way.
I love how there is just a little bit of shimmer in it that it gives you the
right and subtle kind of glow. It actually lasts the whole day. I do my makeup
at 4:30 in the morning and the products was still on my face until I got home.
Now I started asking myself, why did I not invest in good blushes like this before?
Oh yeah, I was a cheapskate.
THE BAD BITS:
It’s not really a bad thing but just a tip… Just like what I’ve
said before, a little goes a long way. This is my first NARS blush so when I
used it, I thought I’d have to get a lot from the pan so I ended up having too
much blush on my cheeks. Blending is the key to getting the perfect look of
this blush on your skin. A little patience with blending will definitely make a
difference.
OVER-ALL:
If only this blush isn’t limited edition I would definitely
repurchase. It may be more expensive than the typical blushes I use (Ever
Bilena, Maybelline, Max Factor, NYX) but I think it’ll last on me for more than
a year. I’ve been using it everyday and since I don’t need to get much product
from the pan, I actually save a lot. I’m giving this a rating of 9/10. The price can be too steep for
some people (still for me) and there may be other cheaper dupes available but
if you’ve got the cash, girl, I don’t know why you wouldn’t get this (well, aside
from the fact that I don’t think it’s still available). First time NARS
blush users may find this a bit overwhelming too and blending (for some) may
take a lot of getting used to but the outcome is great, I tell you.
Such a gorgeous colour.

DeleteThat blush does look great but I agree. Some people may find it too pricey. Still, it seems like a great product.

DeleteI've tried two Nars blushers, one is Orgasm which I absolutely despise and another that I couldn't remember and it was okay. I'm not sure if the quality of deluxe sample sizes differs from the full size but I honestly don't get the hype of Nars blushers.

My friend wasn't a fan of NARS blushes too. The Orgasm did not work on her. I'm glad this one worked on me :)
DeleteLovely review, I have tried NARS blushes in the past, and yes, they are very pigmented! Have a great day!

DeleteHaha that's awesome you bought this off your friend! Yay for fellow bloggers! I've always loved NARS blushes. I find that even though they seem to have a shimmer or 'glittery' affect, it almost never shows on the face that way. They are really really beautiful on the skin. I feel like if you judge it by the pan you may be turned off, or at least I was at first. Their products are definitely a little more expensive (just bought a $50 foundation from them), but I find their quality is always superb. This colour looks really great on you too! BTW, I am still loving your shorter hair! It looks so good on you!!

Thank you Emily! My NARS purchases so far are so worth the price. :)
DeleteThat blush is gorgeous on you! I have had a friend do a guest post on my blog about makeup, and she swears by blush. Of course, her favorite color is "Orgasm" which can make a lot of us blush if we're asking for it at the makeup counter. NARS has an excellent recommendation. I found my friend's hue (I won't repeat the name) to be too dark for me, although it's supposed to be perfect for all skin tones. Maybe I just need to "tone down" the application as you recommend. Thanks for sharing, beautiful!

DeleteYou look so beautiful girlie, I love your haircut, it looks so good on you! As for the blush, how awesome that it worked out for you because the color really does suit your skin tone and it seems to be great and long lasting. I've never used a NARS blush before, only their shadows and loved it. Perhaps I'll have to check out their blushes now. Thanks for sharing, beauty, and I hope you're having a great week so far!
