FOTD: Faux and Nude Makeup Look

The past few weeks had been pretty intense.

I have been going to the doctor lately and just this week, I was finishing some blood testing, ECG, and such to prepare for my Endometrial Biopsy. My health has not been doing well these past few weeks but I’m still trying to be positive that the result of my Biopsy would be favorable. I would keep you all updated.

Aside from that, I’ve been travelling a lot for work lately. And next week, I will be off to Cebu (October 11-14, 2017). If I have some readers and fellow bloggers in Cebu, please send me a message in Facebook or an email at: hellogelleesh@gmail.com, because I would love to meet new friends and fellow bloggers anywhere.

Anyway, let’s now proceed with the makeup look, k?

This has now, somehow, become my everyday makeup look. Less on colors, more on looking more natural. I’m also into doing faux freckles these past few weeks. I find them cute and it can be a challenge making them look natural without overdoing it. I don’t think mine’s already perfect. It’s still a work in progress, but you know what they say, practice makes perfect!

PRODUCTS USED:

FACE: L’Oreal True Match Foundation in N7 (Nude Ambre) | Nichido Final Powder in Ivory Glow | Max Factor Pan Stik in Nouveau Beige | NARS x Sarah Moon Blush in Impudique | BYS Brow Definition Kit in Pow Brows | EB Advance Eyeshadow 5 Shades in Amazing Pink

EYES: Revlon ColorStay Brow Pencil in Auburn | BYS Brow Definition Kit in Pow Brows | The Face Shop Gel Set Smudge-proof Auto Liner | Benefit They’re Real Mascara

LIPS: Sleek Matte Me in Birthday Suit

HOW I DID IT:

First, I used the Miniso Aloe Vera Moisturizing Cream to prep and moisturize my face before anything else. Remember, moisturizing is important! Then I used the L’Oreal True Match Foundation in N7 (Nude Ambre) by dispensing a pump at the back of my hand and then dotting the products all over my face. For blending, I used a Stippling Brush. Yes, I’m back to using Stippling Brush. After that, I used the Max Factor Pan Stik in Nouveau Beige on my under eye area, middle of the nose, and a short line on the forehead and bottom of my lips. I blended this using a smaller paddle brush. Then, I topped and set it with the Nichido Final Powder in Ivory Glow.

For the eyes, everything’s pretty simple. I used the Revlon ColorStay Brow Pencil in Auburn to line the shape of my brows then filled it in with the lighter brown shade in the BYS Brow Definition Kit in Pow Brows. After that, I used The Face Shop Gel Set Smudge-proof Auto Liner to line my upper lids and waterline. Then, I curled my lashes using the Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler and used the Benefit They’re Real Mascara to help keep my lashes in place.

Now off to the fun part! First, I used the NARS x Sarah Moon Blush in Impudique on my cheeks, but instead of the usual way, where you kind of contour-blush by applying it from the bottom part of the cheekbone then going up forming some kind of like a quarter moon to help with making your cheeks look lifted, I applied it lightly in a horizontal manner to give me a drunk blush look. Then, I used the white shade in my EB Advance Eyeshadow 5 Shades in Amazing Pink for highlighting purposes. I put some on my cheekbones and nose line. After that, I used the brown shade from my BYS Brow Definition Kit in Pow Brows to lightly dot some freckles, patted and blended it a bit using a small beauty sponge, then brushed it lightly with the Nichido Final Powder in Ivory Glow to help keep it in place and from smudging.

For my lips, I used the Sleek Matte Me in Birthday Suit. And yep, it looks like I need to moisturize my lips more. Sorry!

Have you ever tried doing faux freckles? Who would have known that tt can be a fun new thing to add on your makeup look? :D

  2. Oh your faux freckles look great! They look very natural :) It's a fun trend to see, I used to have a lot of freckles when I was younger, not so much now.

Hope everything goes well with your upcoming biopsy and you get good news!
