Now that I’m older, I realized that skincare doesn’t need to be complicated.
For the past few years, I have gotten compliments about how I look younger than my actual age. I discovered that the main ingredient to having a healthy and glowing skin can be as simple as living a healthier and more active lifestyle. But, of course, I still need a few products to help me with keeping my skin at its healthiest state. So, let me share with you how I go about my daily skincare routine with very few and non-expensive products.
My Morning Skincare Routine
These products both have SPF 50 and PA++++ for protection against harmful UV rays. And because I have this tendency to have dry skin, the Dewy Essence Sunscreen is infused with Pentavitin that gives up to 72 hours of continuous hydration. It’s also water-resistant, definitely perfect for working out, doesn’t have any white cast, paraben-free, non-comedogenic, hypoallergenic, and dermatologist tested. As for the Tinted Sunscreen, what I love most about it is that it has Tone Adapt Technology, which makes it suitable for all skin tones. It provides light coverage, enough for an errand day, and it doesn’t feel sticky nor heavy on the skin.
So, after applying my favorite sunscreen products, I just put on a lip balm and I’m ready to hit the gym. But if it’s a non-gym day, I put my usual makeup on top of the tinted sunscreen and I’m good to go. No need for additional foundation or concealer even!
My Evening Skincare Ritual
This new simplified skincare routine that I have does not only help keep my skin looking fresh and youthful, but it has also saved me a lot of money. Sometimes, it does look so cool when I see people putting on a lot of products on their face and it kind of made me ask, Should I too? But as I check on what my skin really needs, apparently, it doesn’t really need much. I haven’t had a breakout in years.
Again, things do not have to be complicated. Before you imitate other people’s skincare routines, check first what your skin really needs and what products will best work for your skin type, your lifestyle, and of course, your budget.
