Big Bad Wolf Books 2025 Kickstarts in Pampanga – Empowering Women and the Youth

First of all, Happy Women’s Month!

I know it’s been awhile, but let me kickstart my first post for 2025 with a bang by talking about the Big Bad Wolf Books’ first book sale event for this year in Pampanga. And let me tell you, this is more than just a book sale.

Celebrating and Empowering Women

As they kickstart their first book sale event on Women’s Month, Big Bad Wolf puts the spotlight on inspiring and motivational women through their Women in My Life contest. The contest aims to feature stories of women who have made an impact in the lives of others.

How to join?

·         Participant must be a resident of Pampanga, Tarlac, Zambales, Bataan or Metro Manila aged 15 and above

·         Share the remarkable story of a woman in your life and post it on Facebook using the hashtags: #BBWClarkWomenEmpowerment and #BBWClark2025

·         Deadline of submission of entries is on March 19, 2025

So, if you want to celebrate and put the spotlight to an inspiring woman in your life, this is the time!

Sharing the Gift of Knowledge through Books with Anak Bale-Balayan

Anak Bale-Balayan (which translates to House of Gathering) is a hub in Pampanga where people come together to celebrate culture and the arts. With a passion towards making a difference to the youth in the local communities, Anak Bale-Balayan creates avenues for personal development through music.

In support of the mission, Big Bad Wolf Books enlisted Anak Bale-Balayan as the beneficiary of the Red Readerhood Program to bring the transformative power of reading to Kapampangan youth.

How can you participate in the mission?

Purchase one or more books from the designated Red Readerhood corner and donate them to the program. And it doesn’t stop there! For every book contributed by the public, Big Bad Wolf Books will match the donation. Through this initiative, Big Bad Wolf Books strives to provide Anak Bale-Balayan youth books that inspire them to explore new ideas, expand their knowledge, and pursue their passions.

Visiting the Big Bad Wolf Book Sale

Last March 13, I attended the launch of the book sale and it was my first time attending the event. I only hear it from my sisters, since they are the book worms in the family. That is why I was amazed with the big selection of books available during the event and the jaw-dropping deals and discounts they offer. I believe we were at the venue for more than an hour, because you would want to just go through everything, because every purchase will definitely be worth it.

I brought along my boyfriend during the event, because he’s really into books. He bought a lot for himself, got some for our friends too and because he got inspired by the mission of Anak Bale-Balayan, he bought books for his niece and nephew! Have the kids hooked on reading books instead of gadgets.

I, myself, got Attention Span by Gloria Mark. As someone who has ADHD, I believe this book will be a big help to me. You see, I rarely read books because I easily get distracted and get lost in other thoughts while reading because of, again, ADHD. I think this will be a good start and a motivation to fixing my attention and focus problems.

If you also want to get amazing deals at the Big Bad Wolf Book Sale, you can visit them from March 14 to 23, 2025 at the SMX Convention Center in Clark, from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM daily. Oh, and admission is free, so grab your bookworm gang, prepare your book-et list and take your biggest bag, because you’ll definitely be splurging a lot. We did!
