Via Eastern: Where Your Business Takes Flight

We cannot deny the fact that internet has now become a necessity and almost every business, establishment, and home, has their own means of connecting to the rest of the world may it be through fiber, DSL, or even using mobile data. I remember when I first went online, my purpose was solely to play games. It eventually evolved into joining forums where I can connect and meet people whom I share the same interests with to using messengers like Yahoo Messenger to easily connect with friends instead of the usual telebabad moments.

OOTD: Keeping It Real

“If you don’t love what you do, you won’t do it with as much conviction or passion.” – Mia Hamm

I promised myself that I would be blogging, at the very least, weekly. I guess I kind of failed. I haven’t posted anything for almost a month now and it’s not because I’m quitting, but more of I’ve been too busy and stressed with a lot of things.

#SparkUpPH: For the Business-Curious Millennials

Almost all millennials dream of having their own business. That’s not unique anymore. But the game changer here is, what kind of enterprise will you start and can you, realistically, sustain it?

Pampanga Restaurant Tour 2016

To be quite honest, it still feels surreal that I finally have a community here in Pampanga. I thought I’d miss Manila so much that I will find myself back in its arms every weekend; but here I am, leaving a weekend open to meet up with the Pampanga Bloggers Society. Yes, I am now officially part of group!

Forever 21 Style Insider and More Plussize Love

It was only recently that I started exploring and loving shopping in real life. For years, I’ve been so insecure to go to the plussize section or ask for the largest size because whether we admit it or not, our society kind of raised us to be ashamed of being fat. It’s like if you’re fat, you’re not supposed to deserve trendy clothing. You’ll just have to be satisfied with the limited options for your size.

Querna Dose Book Launching Event

I used to love reading books.

Don’t get me wrong, I still read books; but ever since I started working, my mind suddenly got used to overly multi-tasking that if ever I would be doing something, I need to be working on another thing or else I’d get sleepy or bored. So when I started reading books again, I suddenly felt my eyes getting heavy and eventually wanting to snooze. Crap… I only finished a page. Even when I’m watching something. I would be browsing through my social media pages or writing something because if not, I’ll end up bored. It happened a lot of times.

The Coffee Lover in Me Came Out Again

I used to be very maarte with my coffee. I have, not just a coffee maker, but also a coffee grinder at home before and I would make sure that the Arabica beans I buy will be of really good quality. I would often ask friends who go up to Baguio to buy me good coffee beans.

The Thing About Romantic Love

Someone once told me that she admired how I handled the romantic aspect of my life. But to tell you all quite frankly, there is no big secret as to how I gracefully date, fall in love, leave, or get my heart broken. Experience was, actually, the best teacher I have ever had.

When people get their hearts broken, some would fall into that seemingly endless pit of loneliness, blaming the world, blaming their own selves, and even wanting to just disappear into thin air. If you have seen the movie "That Thing Called Tadhana," you would know what EXACTLY I mean. Big surprise, I have also had my fair shares of being depressed, wondering what went wrong, wishing he would be back; but at the end of the day, I just came upon the realization that my world should never revolve around the thought of having and maintaining a romantic relationship with someone; and that is how I managed to become this strong girl I am today.

A Fun-Filled Saturday Night at #Holidate2014

The group photo :)
And even though I was not participating, I was quite excited for the Single Professionals' Get-Together event. I remember having attended a speed dating event before and, as a participant, I really did enjoy it a lot... Especially the night out in Eastwood after the event. It was only then that I was able to really get to know the other participants, both male and female, because of our extended interactions. So, knowing beforehand that the Single Professionals' Get-Together event, or Holidate 2014 for short, will be having more interactions than just five minutes of talking, I know me and my friends would really have a blast... Only, this time, I'm not participating. I am observing from a third-person perspective.

Women in Tech Goes to F*ART (Fashion + Art)

One of my personal advocacies, which I often write about in my blog is about women empowerment. I believe that women can do great things. A woman can be  a mother, a wife, a successful career woman, an entrepreneur, a leader, and so much more. I, myself, feel the need to become an inspiring and influential woman in my time and even though I'm not at that ultimate level yet, I would love my blog to be a source of inspiration and strength to women who enjoys visiting here every once in awhile.

#Holidate2014: Mingle, Date or Just Meet New Friends

As some of you may have known, I attended a speed datingevent a few months ago. I enjoyed it and I did make new friends afterwards. So, when I heard about a new kind of event filled with activities for single professionals, I know this would be tons of fun; hence I already told the news about it to my single friends and some of them are quite interested to join.

Noli Me Tangere: The Opera - My First Opera Experience

Indeed, there is a first for everything. I have watched theater plays before, may it be musical or straight plays, but never have I watched an opera ever... Until that night.

We were invited to see Noli Me Tangere: The Opera by one of our organization's (KMBI - Kabalikat para sa Maunlad na Buhay Inc.) Board Of Trustees, Ptr. Francis Nicolas. I don't want to waste the opportunity to witness an opera done in Filipino so after I was asked, I immediately said, "YES!" I remember Noli Me Tangere from  my junior year in highschool and how I, actually, find it very dramatic and moving; hence, I have high expectations for this production.

See You at Blogapalooza 2014

My Blogapalooza 2013 ID
Writing, for me, is an outlet. It's through writing that I find comfort when I'm stressed, where I can just rant out those things that bother me in a more vague and subtle manner and just release all the emotions I have inside. I have been keeping two blogs (not all of you might know of it). One is this - Gelleesh.com and the other one is in Tumblr - Gelleesh.tumblr.com. I want to keep all my positive, encouraging, and beauty and fashion related posts here while go rant about things and release all my emotions at my Tumblr blog.

You're Cordially Invited to the First National Makeover Day

I feel like I've been working too much these past few days that I never had time for personal development, myself. By personal development I mean, pampering myself and such. I haven't had my facial in months, I haven't had my Brazilian wax recently and other such things. My time has been, solely, devoted to work and spending time with family and friends (whenever I get the chance to) that I barely have the time to do other things.

See you at the Heatwave Summer Bazaar!

When I went to spend the weekend at my parents’ place in Manila, I was welcomed with an enveloped letter from Cut Unlimited Inc. They didn’t send me an email notice regarding this so I was quite intrigued as to what this was about. And when I opened it... Voila!

MagiKaria - A Fantastical Magical Experience

I remember as a kid, me and my sister would play and do cartwheels and such things as if we’re performing at a live audience. It made us feel so kickass because, hey, not everyone can do those. Seeing how acrobats and such people do it on TV, you’d be totally amazed at how awesome their flexibility, balance and focus are – very admirable, indeed.
