HYD Designer Contestants Gearing-Up for their First Collection

The Hot Young Designers (HYD) finalists had a photo shoot at the HD Makeup Studio and Academy. Our young designers have experienced the wonders of Hi-definition (HD) makeup and airbrush here in the Philippines from the experts at HD Makeup Studio which is headed by Jeava Gabiana and Christephanie Chua-Sing. They are the co-founders of the institute.


Jeava Gabiana is a former corporate girl who is also a CPA. Then, he said bye-bye to the corporate world and became one of the few Filipinos who has completed a Diploma Course from Vidal Sassoon Academy in Los Angeles. He has also completed the Diploma in Beauty and High Fashion makeup at the Cinema Makeup School in Hollywood and Professional Airbrush course from LCE School of Art and Design in Singapore.


Christephanie Chua-Sing had her Makeup studies at Cinema Makeup School in Hollywood and Professional Airbrush course from LCE School of Art and Design in Singapore. She has also completed dual bachelor's degrees in Accountancy and Computer Management.


Mic Alva, the 3rd person in their team, is a student of Christephanie and Jeava.


The HYD Finalists were given tips by these professionals on skin care and appropriate makeup for their style.


The photographer of the shoot is Christine Day Lorico, a Fashion Photographer.

After this photo shoot, the HYD finalists have started producing their first collection. The first of the three collections will be launched this October 01, 2011 at HotYoungDesigners.com.
