Beauty and Minerals Mineral Eyeshadow

How was your day guys? I stayed at home the whole day 'cos I wasn't feeling so well. What has been happening to me? This may be a great year but it sure isn't the most healthy year. After having my 3rd molar extracted, I haven't been feeling quite well. Can't even eat right. Hello diet! Anyway, I guess this is a sign that I should start living the healthy life. And by living the healthy life, it shouldn't be just about eating the right kind of food and doing some exercise. Maybe it's about time to choose the healthier skin care and makeup products?

During the Cosmetologie 2012, one of the stuff I bought is the mineral eye shadow from Beauty and Minerals owned by Sophie (Beautynomics.com). This is actually my first mineral makeup ever (I think) and I dunno why I never thought of buying mineral makeup until now. I really dunno the regular price but during the Cosmetologie fair, I got it for only P100. Pretty affordable, huh? And now I'm wondering why I didn't buy more colors.

The Good Bits:

First of all, I got it for a very affordable price plus, considering the fact that it's mineral makeup, it doesn't have any of those comedogenic ingredients like talc, perfume, dyes, alcohol and the likes. Sounds great, right? The shade I got is in SM Bronze and I super love the outcome on my eyes and its pigmentation. I think I'd be using this the most often among all my eye makeup. I think I might be hooked to mineral makeup after this. Goodbye budget? Haha! Anyway, the shade itself is also awesome. Perfect for everyday look and for the summer. I feel like a sun-kissed princess (Echosera! Hahaha!). What do you think?

The Bad Bits:

The packaging which supposedly consists of  a logo, and the ingredients isn't present. It's really not something you'd buy because it has a really awesome packaging. It's something you'd buy because you know mineral makeup does good on your skin.

Over-All:

The packaging of a product still counts. It is, after all, what pushes most of the consumers to buy something. But for the quality of the product, I'd definitely recommend this. Just look at the pigmentation plus it's a mineral makeup. Awesome, right? I'm giving this product a 9/10. I want the other colors! :D

  4. I have a lot of Beauty and Minerals products and I must say, everything is highly-pigmented so you just need a small amount of everything :)

    1. This is my first mineral makeup and based on some reviews I've read, hindi pigmented masyado ang mineral makeup. So I tried one muna and I'm so satisfied. I'm buying more shades na! Oh, and it's just scattered around the pot. It's not really filled up to the rim. Hehe :)

  9. it true talaga, mineral pigments are great for skin... but that's the thing, I stay away from loose pigments, coz they're too messy to apply. and for someone as clumsy as me, it's a no no. lol

  11. I know I am 4 months late in leaving a comment on this post but when I was hooked on mineral makeup 4 years ago, even ordering from US-based indie mineral makeup companies, I wondered why I never stopped having pimples. And when I switched to traditional makeup, the constant breakouts stopped. The lesson I learned the hard way - Even though the makeup is mineral, there's no guarantee that it will do good for your skin. :-/
