I have slowly been adjusting to living in a new environment. I got used to the simple and peaceful life in the province (after almost three years of staying in Pampanga) and then all of a sudden, BOOM! I’m back in Manila... And not just any place in Manila, I’m in Katipunan!

It’s been awhile since I last posted a makeup look, right? I’ve been keeping my look really simple these past few months because I’ve been really busy and stressed with a lot of things; but still there are some people who have asked me about the makeup look I normally wear on my selfie photos. I guess it’s still worth blogging about eh?

I don’t know how many times I’ve mentioned that I’m not a big fan of lip glosses. Trying this out wasn’t a sudden change of heart but more of a “maybe-it-will-work-this-time” kind of thing.

Because makeup shops here in San Fernando, Pampanga are very limited, I kind of have resulted into buying online. Pick a few makeup products from Beauty Manila, shop Korean skin care products at Sephora, or in this case buy the NARS Lipgloss your friend bought online but didn't work on her. Yep, that's how I ended up with this beauty.

My 2015 Christmas Wishlist

Hello December!

I am not yet done with my Christmas shopping but I definitely have something for all my god children so, kids, I will see you on Christmas Day! But of course, it’s not just about giving and sharing what you have but also giving something for yourself… And so I’m creating this wish list. I’m not saying I NEED TO HAVE THESE by Christmas but what I mean is that I’m hoping to get one of these for myself on Christmas and this can also serve as a guide to all my friends and loved ones who might be thinking about what to give me. I didn't put makeup on for almost a week because my skin was still in its "light peeling" process since I burned it from last weekend's Zambales beach trip with my family. I usually just fill in my brows, use lip balm, and pat on a powder lightly all over my face; but this Friday, I think it's almost okay. So after applying moisturizer on, time to get my glam on.

I Will Wear Makeup and It's None of Your Business

I cringe at all those articles that keep telling women that they should wear less makeup (or none at all) because men like it that way. It is not, in any way, a confidence booster to those who do not wear makeup or those who feel like they need to wear makeup just to be liked by men and look pretty. In my own opinion it gives off that message, that in order to be liked by men (which is pushed to be imperative), I need to adapt by what they think is beautiful and what is not. NEWSFLASH, that is not me and will never be me.

FOTD: Receiving That Good News

I forgot to set my alarm because I fell asleep while I was watching "The Skin I Live In." And when I woke up, I accidentally fell asleep again. Oh that post Christmas weather just makes you want to sleep for the whole day. So when I finally got up, I rushed to take a bath and I really feel like putting makeup on. I just don't want to skip makeup for today, and so I did. Just a quick swipe of this and that and I'm done. I guess that sufficed.

So after coming home from my daddy's company Christmas party, mom told me that a package just arrived and was received by my grandma for me. What could it be? Surprise, surprise! It was a package/Christmas gift from my good friend, Anly. You see, Anly was my officemate from my last job (Pixel Pro). She is one of the few people I can easily and comfortably talk and confide to at work. And when I resigned from Pixel Pro, we still kept in touch. Anyway, back to the package... it contained two products from Happy Skin and one of which is the Happy Skin Shut Up & Kiss Me Lip & Cheek Mousse in My Guilty Pleasure shade.

Merry after-Christmas everyone! A lot of you may have been on an out-of-town vacation, or attended/attending a family reunion this Holiday Season, but for me, this year's Christmas has been the simplest and one of the most meaningful and sincere one I have had.

My life isn't perfect and at times I have thought of it as recklessly lived and crazy; but I guess my decisions in life (both the good and the not so good) have led me into living a life, I can call, my "almost dream life." Almost because nothing is perfect and, in a way, I can say that I am pretty happy with how things have been going. I am at the peak of my career, I am in a good relationship, I live on my own, and I still have time to spend with my friends and family.

For about a year now, I have been using the L'Oreal Paris le teint True Match foundation because of how it perfectly matched my needs for a full coverage; however, because the year is about to end, I feel like I want to go try something new and what caught my attention is the Maybelline Super Stay 24HR Makeup in Natural Beige.

FOTD: I Miss You Summer

Whenever it's summer I would constantly hate the fact that it can be too hot! Since I work for Non-Profit Organization, work will sometimes entail me to visit some places that can make me sweat like crazy and I hate feeling all sticky and sweaty (unless, of course, during workout sessions). I feel like I want to run back home and take a bath for an hour! Can you feel me, sister?

FOTD: Running Some Errands

I prefer taking my time when doing my makeup. I will keep on checking if my makeup look is fine at all angles and I like, spontaneously, coming up of my makeup look or theme for the day on that same morning when I'd be doing it. So, yes, I do wake up early when I do my makeup. But there would be times when I prefer just putting something light on and go to work or do my groceries and all those stuff.

I miss college. My four years in college is what I can consider as the best four years of my studying life. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed highschool (as some would say it's what they miss more) but it was in college that I was able to figure out who I really am. In college, I met new friends, who may all be very different in many awesome and crazy ways, but compliments my personality well. It was, also, in college that I was able to understand what it is that I would like to do with my life.

FOTD: Summer Siren

It has been raining pretty hard lately and because of the typhoons, which has been hitting our country recently. We have been experiencing a lot of challenges that requires our tough spirit and strong will to overcome. At times like these, I miss summer. Although I hate how hot it can be during that time of the year, how I would sweat endlessly if I'm out, and personally I love the cold summer rainy days; I miss going out and not having to worry about bringing an umbrella, I miss going to work all dry and I miss not having to worry if there would be a power interruption or if it's going to flood in our area.

I do have staples in my makeup kit, which I would always repurchase whenever I would already hit the pan; but there would, still, be times when I'd want to try and experiment on new products so that I'd know if I can find a better alternative to the product I am currently using. There would be hits and fails; but it would always be an exciting adventure, still.
