Ever Bilena Advance Eyebrow & Concealer

I often rant about my messy brows and in order to keep 'em tamed, I need to use good products but, yes there's a but, I'm not just after the quality, period. I want quality and affordable at the same time. Hard times. I have my phone bill, my braces, my English bulldog, Jin and many other stuff. Hindi ko pa nawiwithdraw sweldo ko, lumipad na. Hahaha! Anyway, so that's pretty much the reason why I'm so kuripot.

I ran out of eyebrow pencil. Oh my. That's why I decided to buy one at Watsons. However, when I approached the Ever Bilena counter (My mom and I are pretty much loyal to EB's eyebrow pencil), our favorite eyebrow pencil got out of stock. Boo! But I needed a replacement so bad so I decided to grab the Ever Bilena Advance Eyebrow & Concealer which comes in Brunette. First of all, it's different from my usual thin pencil. It's as fat as a NYX Jumbo Pencil but it's dual ended. One is for the brows the other is a concealer. Just like the NYX, it has a white body color and both ends come with a cap.

The Good Bits:

For your brows :)
I'm quite satisfied with the performance of the eyebrow pencil. It lasts really long.  I really don't mind that it's bigger than my usual pencil as long as it delivers good performance. The price is two thumbs up too. For a product that offers an eyebrow pencil and a concealer, you're getting a good deal. It doesn't come with a scent unless you'd really stick your nose in it so you might be able to smell a normal pencil scent. The concealer may not have act as a concealer for me (reasons I'll state below), but I found out that it can be a good base for your eye makeup.

The Bad Bits:

Concealer :)
First of all, the cap gets removed easily. I put it in my makeup pouch and then after a couple of hours, I'd see it without its cap and it has drawn brown marks all over my pouch. Naughty pencil! I have nothing to say about the eyebrow part; but the concealer... It doesn't act as a concealer to me. It doesn't conceal anything. When I applied it on my under eye, the concealer just disappeared. Nothing changed.

Over-All:

Swatches: Eyebrow | Concealer
I'm not pretty sure about this product. Though the brow part is good, I didn't really agree about the concealer part. I'm giving this product a rating of 6/10. I might buy this again if my comfort eyebrow pencil from Ever Bilena (the one with a red body) is still not available. This is decent but not my first choice.

  1. The "concealer" doesn't look creamy enough to be a concealer. But good to know you like the brow pencil :)

  3. I have this product in Ash Blonde and I agree with what you said about it. I haven't really figured out how to make the concealer part of it work for me, but I really love the eyebrow pencil part so I was planning to keep buying it. I might try the other kind you mentioned because you like it better. =)

    Thanks for the recommendation. =))

  4. The brow x concealer combo is pretty strange. But I guess it's somehow practical. I agree with the other comments that the concealer is pretty dry. And a concealer that doesn't do anything is pretty much useless. Atleast you bought the product for the eye brow pencil so it is somehow worth it. :P

  9. while some people invest on th core makeu like foundations, etc. i do take time making sure the pencils i use are on point cause one bad bit can go a long harsh way. i didnt like that when i tried it out. i guess for EB, their lipsticks and eyeshadows are more worthwhile

  15. Actually, eyebrow pencils and concealer duo is quite common. It's not weird at all. The concealer part is supposed to be used to further define the eyebrow shape by giving it a "sharper" edge. I agree, though, that they could have improved it more.
