Careline Pimple Concealer with Tea Tree Oil

Geez. I'm starting to get zits again 'cos I just had my period aaaaand because I have, again, slept a few times with my makeup on, unintentionally. I wanna give my most sincere apology to my face for the zits I have caused her. And so, since I've got the skin care products to help me with getting rid of those fugly zits, I need to find a way on how to conceal them for the mean time. So, when I saw the Careline Pimple Concealer with Tea Tree Oil at the Grocery, I just had to grab it and try it out.

You know, I'm pretty proud of the local cosmetics industry. They've been coming up with decent products, which would surely make in your list of must-haves. And Careline is one of those brands who have been constantly improving their product line. I guess Filipinas are getting more kikay every year, huh? Anyway, let me tell you what I love and what I don't like much about this product. Oh, btw, I got the Oriental shade.

The Good Bits:

First of all the packaging is very convenient. It looks like a typical concealer so nothing really special about it, really. The price is freakin' awesome. It's only PhP80.00. Neat, huh? That's what I love about the local drugstore makeup - inexpensive and some of them are effective. It's very easy to blend and it gives a light coverage of your imperfections. It doesn't fully cover those zits; but it still, somehow, makes it less noticeable. I tried using this as a concealer for my dark eye circles and it works good in that part as well. It can lighten your dark under eye too so hoorah for that. And, because it has tea tree oil, it helps in the healing process of those nasty zits of yours.

The Bad Bits:

The applicator can be unhygienic. So please, don't let someone else use yours, okay? I am not a fan of the smell. It smells like an old man's ointment and it reminds me of my gramps. Again, it doesn't give full coverage for your imperfections; although it does make them less noticeable.

Over-All:

I think I'm gonna be purchasing this product again. It does a good job, although the smell is really off for me; it's the performance of the product itself that matters. I really don't need a heavy coverage concealer because I really don't have that much imperfections to conceal (thank God!) so this will do for me. Plus, it's inexpensive. Very beauty budget-friendly, don't you think? I'm giving this a rating of 8/10. Oh, and on my swatches, I didn't use a loose powder. It's just purely the concealer so we can all see it's bare effects. So, there.

  1. I'm always picky with concealers cuz I have so many dark spots in my face from acne. It's nice to know that the local makeup industry is stepping up their products but I think i will skip this one. :P

  2. I haven't tried a lot of concealers yet, but I think I've gifted my lil sis with this one about a year ago.. :) She found it okay, but not too helpful to conceal her pimple scars.

    1. It just makes the pimples less noticeable, which is totally fine with me since my zits aren't that bad naman :)

  3. This was my first ever concealer. Agree with you! Pang-lighten lang sya but really nice for brightening the undereye area. And the smell! I hated it at first pero nasanay narin yung ilong ko sa amoy nya, nung medyo paubos na yung product. hahaha

    1. it can on a certain level and depending on how your dark spots look. it lightens the imperfections but doesn't completely conceal them :)

  11. ngayun ko lang e try tong tea tree concealer... may tanong ako kasi wla akong mabasa na protection sa sun.... ok lang ba to gamitin kahit na lagi kang lumalabas?

    1. Better use a moisturizer or foundation with SPF content. This is okay for concealing but not really made for sun protection :)
