I was shopping for some local goodies which I could give to my friend Celine while I was at SM North Edsa and Snoe just popped in my mind. Celine loves makeup, perhaps as much as I do, but she’s the one who actually introduced me to it. Since Celine is on a vacation here in the Philippines and she has seen the best makeup US has to offer so I must give her good products from the Philippines that she can always be proud of: “Tatak Pinoy ‘yan!” I would love her to be proud like that.
“How the hell would Gellie be able to give a review of this product if she gave this to her friend?”
Oh my. Chill. Wait. Yes, I gave Celine Snoe products but I actually gave her different stuff. While I was buying my gift for Celine I opted to give myself something as well. I have been wanting to try the Snoe Rouge Deluxe lipstick and this time, I just couldn’t resist the purchase! I still have tons of lippies in my stash so that’s what’s stopping me, initially, but I don’t know what kind of force pulled me into purchasing the lipstick, finally - God’s will, perhaps?
“The Snoe Rouge Deluxe is an oil-infused rich and creamy lip color in the season’s hottest hues. It will hydrate, nourish, and revitalize lips. While delivering long-lasting color, this product works to smoothen and soften the lips, making your pout extra kissable. Edited to only the most fashionable shades, it’s impossible to pick just one.”
Without: Parabens, Sulfates, Synthetic Fragrances, Synthetic Dies, Petrochemicals, Phtalates, GMOs Triclosan
The Good Bits:
From the box to the packaging of the lipstick itself – very well thought of. I’ve always loved how Snoe names their products and designs their packaging. Up until now, I keep the lipstick inside its box just because they’re inseparably cute. The lipstick case has this cute royalty feel in it and the prints on its case remind me of Majolica. Hahaha! The bullet is pretty tough (no pun intended) that it doesn’t melt so no worries about it. I love the vanilla-ish-y and cake icing scent it brings out. I’m not really very particular with how stuff smells so that’s what I have initially thought of upon smelling the product. Is it drying? I never use lipstick without balm because I don’t want to risk having dry and chapping lips since my lips are really, naturally prone to drying. Even the instruction on the box says: “Prep lips with an application of Snoe’s Beso Balm.” And so far my lips are fine.
How long does it last on your lips? Well, I put it on my lips before I go to work so that’s like 7:00 in the morning. Don’t let it touch anything else for awhile because it may transfer. However, after it has settled down completely on your lips, it will be one tough mama to get off! Had my lunch at 12NN, no retouch, and it’s still there after my saucy meal. Although it has lightened a bit, it’s still there! It’s still there until 5:00PM, and I even had my snacks then.
As for the price of this product, compared to other locally branded lipsticks, it can be a bit steep, but if you won’t be THAT bias, it actually does really well. It even performs beyond its price!
The Bad Bits:
Because it has this creamy finish upon application, you need to wait for a few while before it settles down on your lips or else, it’ll transfer. Other than that, it's good!
It’s my current favourite lipstick and I’m trying out the other shades as well. My rate for this is 9/10. It’s worth more than its price and the choices of shades will allow you to find the perfect to-go lipstick fit for your skin tone.
