Haven’t blogged for a few days because I’ve been so busy at
work and hanging out with my cousins who are on a vacation here in the
Philippines till the first week of July. It’s been five years (I think) since I
last saw them in person so I’ve been spending a lot of time with them while
they’re still here.
This weekend (June 15-16, 2013) we went on a swimming trip
at Villa Concepcion in Bulacan. The place and the food were... MEH! But it was
the bonding time that mattered more so, whatever. Well, let me share with you
all how the outing went. I hope you don’t mind.

With my cousin, Rainier :) |
The room we had was quite spacious and was okay but we can’t
really bring in nor consume liquor inside so BOO! Hahaha! First day, I was just
hanging out in our room with younger sister Czai
(theblacksheeproject.blogspot.com) while my younger cousins were at the wave
pool already having fun and all. I wasn’t really in the mood on the first day.
I just want to chill and hang out.

We had dinner at the resort’s canteen of some sort and the
food was okay, I think, but some of my family members thought it didn’t taste
really good. Well, I’m not a foodie to begin with so I didn’t really give a
shit. So after the dinner, we went back in our rooms, played a card game and
then went to sleep early. Damn, come on, who sleeps at 10 in the evening?
Ahahaha!

We woke up early and had breakfast courtesy of the resort
because the overnight has a free breakfast meal. I just had rice, corned beef,
scrambled egg and coffee. Nothing really special about the meal, it was okay
for me, again. So after breakfast, I changed into my swimming clothes and
dipped into the pool.
Cousins but mom wants to be part of it. She's on the farthest left side |

I used to love swimming. I mean, not swimming like playing
in the pool and all, real swimming is more like it. However, I guess I just
wanted to hang out with my cousins but wasn’t really in the mood because I have
the stupid cold, so I kept sniffing and can’t do proper breathing while
swimming. I was having a bit of a hard time adjusting to the pool I can barely
reach and when I used the slide, I feel like my nose was automatically sniffing
in water. Hahaha! But the wave pool tired me out. Huge splashes of waves and more photo ops was
enjoyed so hooray for that. Although I’m like the oldest of ‘em all, I still
managed to have fun and just enjoy the day with my cousins.
After swimming and all, we had lunch at Mang Inasal and had
them put chicken oil on their rice and really did enjoy the sisig as well. The
last inasal they were able to taste was Bacolod Chicken Inasal and back then,
Inasal wasn’t really a big fast food chain thing unlike now. Things really have
changed.
On the way home, we were all chatting about our child hood
like why were we so into WWE or what was the last anime they’ve seen here in
the Philippines. We were also reminiscing some of the most embarrassing moments
we’ve had and how we were back then. Oh, we remembered collecting and playing
with our 101 Dalmatians thanks to McDonald’s Happy Meals and playing with our
UNO blocks and stuff. Oh those were the days, indeed.
