“You set it again my heart’s in motion every word feels likes shooting star. I’m at the edge of my emotions watching the shadows burning in the dark...”
Last Sunday I was finally able to watch BEFORE MIDNIGHT with the guy I am currently dating. The movie was awesome. I can’t really say I loved it more than the first two because each of the “BEFORE” movies has a different feel in it. I would like to give a separate blog post regarding my thoughts on the movie so I won’t be talking about it much in this blog post.
Let me just shift on how my Sunday was:
We decided to meet up at SM Megamall since that’s where the cheapest “Before Midnight” show is. So skip to after seeing the show, we suddenly felt like we’re Jesse and Celine. We went to Starbucks, he had his frappe, I had my hot macchiato and we just sat there talking about life, love, relationships and other random stuff we can think of. It was, perhaps, one of our best exchanges of thoughts and I felt like it was the best date we’ve ever had.
Sip. Puff. Sip. Puff. Talk. Talk. Talk. Sip. Puff.
It was a seemingly endless cycle of drinking coffee, smoking and talking. And then I showed him some of the poems I’ve written and it reminded him of this song from The Corrs, “One Night.” But that wasn’t the song that made me melt that day because After watching the music video of the aforementioned song, he typed another song in Youtube and he asked me to listen to it:
“You, by the light is the greatest find. In a world full of wrong you’re the thing that’s right.”
The song is titled “Terrified” by Katharine Mcphee. Yes I have heard of this song but I haven’t really listened and took the time to feel every word until that day that I was sitting next to him at a coffee shop while our hands are locked together. Honestly, I don’t know and I’m still quite unsure of how things will go and how it will end. All I know is that RIGHT NOW, I am happy and I’m just going to live every bit of this present as it is. No surreal projections, no expectations, just live life as it is now and enjoy every bit of it.
So let me tell you how I did this date-ready makeup look.
FACE: Aerie Color in Almond | LA Colors Loose Powder in Medium | Clinique Soft-Pressed Powder Blusher in Pink Blush
EYES: Ever Bilena Color Pencil in Brown | Ever Bilena Advanced HD Colorless Mascara | SanSan CYO Eyeshadow in Warm Copper Fire, Charcoal Brown, Yellow Topaz and Vanilla Bean | Maybelline The Falsies Volum Express Waterproof in Brownish Black
LIPS: Lip Ice Lip Balm in Orange Mandarin | Snoe Rouge Deluxe in Mauve Movement | Avon Ultra Moisture Rich Rose Lipstick in Carmen Rose
HOW I DID IT:
Let’s skip with the foundation part and eyebrow filling because you probably know that already. I know you’re pretty excited to know how I did the eyes so here it goes:
First I applied the SanSan CYO Eyeshadow Warm Copper Fire shade all over my lids then used the Charcoal Brown on my crease and outer part of the lid. For the inner part and corner, I used the Yellow Topaz and then the Vanilla Bean shade for my brow bone. Pretty easy! Just blend, blend, blend and blend well.
For the lips, you might be wondering why I used two lipsticks, huh? Well, I applied first the Avon Ultra Moisture Rich Rose Lipstick in Carmen Rose all over my lips then the Snoe Rouge Deluxe in Mauve Movement on the inner part of the lips to create a different effect for once.
Oh and some of you might ask how I managed to do that wavy style on my hair? Well after I took my bath, I tied my hair in small portions of buns and left it there for a good 30 minutes. I didn’t comb my hair, by the way. Yes, that helps. Hahaha!
So, what do you think of this look? Date-ready enough for you?
