FOTD: This Office Girl on a Rainy Day

After one week of not putting any makeup on, my face has finally cleared out from the breakout and I am back to putting makeup on only this time – I need a change of habit. I need to stop procrastinating and start taking good care of my skin. Since I never had any acne or major breakout problem, I kind of have taken skin care for granted and chose to put makeup on and concealing the blemishes rather than preventing the stupid acne to pop out. And now I have learned my lesson. My facialist was surprised at my breakout because they weren’t noticeable till she removed my makeup before our session – YIKES!

For my rainy Monday makeup look, I opted for a neutral come back and just keeping things simple and flawless. I believe what matters most in putting makeup on is not the eye shadow color but more of making your skin look flawlessly natural. Who’s with me?

PRODUCTS USED:

FACE: Aerie Color SPF 15 Hydrating Foundation in Almond | SanSan Foundation Cream | LA Colors Loose Powder in Medium | Clinique Soft-Pressed Powder Blusher in Pink Blush

EYES: Ever Bilena Color Pencil in Brown | Ever Bilena Advanced HD Colorless Mascara | Clinique Color Surge Eye Shadow Duo in Rosewine | SanSan Kohl Eyeliner in black | Maybelline The Falsies Volum Express Waterproof in Brownish Black

LIPS: Lip Ice Lip Balm in Orange Mandarin | Avon Ultra Moisture Rich Rose Lipstick in Carmen Rose

HOW I DID IT:

After moisturizing my face, I used my fingers to apply the Aerie Color SPF 15 Hydrating Foundation in Almond all over my face; and then using a foundation brush, I applied the | SanSan Foundation Cream on my under eye area to conceal the dark eye circles. Then I top it all off with the LA Colors Loose Powder in Medium which makes my skin a bit darker and just how I like it to be. For my blush, I used the Clinique Soft-Pressed Powder Blusher in Pink Blush to give my cheeks a natural pinkish glow.

Proceeding to the eyes, I used the Ever Bilena Color Pencil in Brown to fill in my brows and the Ever Bilena Advanced HD Colorless Mascara to set it. Then I applied the lighter brown shade from my Clinique Color Surge Eye Shadow Duo in Rosewine all over my lids and the darker shade on my outer lid and crease. Blend, blend, blend! And then I used the SanSan Kohl Eyeliner in black on my waterline, curled my lashes and applied the Maybelline The Falsies Volum Express Waterproof in Brownish Black.

For the lips, I applied the Lip Ice Lip Balm in Orange Mandarin topped by the Avon Ultra Moisture Rich Rose Lipstick in Carmen Rose.

I think I would be sporting this makeup look often at work but I would want to experiment on different lip colors next time. What do you think?
