FOTD: Having that Courage

Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak; courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen.

- Winston Churchill

When pride comes in between men, it’s not courage that acts on fighting and moving on; but more of the fear of losing and knowing that you might be wrong. Some people fail to realize that being strong may, sometimes, mean that you need to surrender and accept things as they are and follow the lead of those who may know best. How many times have we heard of the quote saying, “A good leader is also a good follower”? We are constantly being reminded of how important it is to know our place, to know when to fight and to know where to go and who to follow.

For this makeup look, I want my eyes to look in between being fierce and subtle; hence the shade of red and blending it subtly with some neutral colors.

PRODUCTS USED:

FACE: L’Oreal  le teint True Match in Nude Amber | LA Colors Loose Powder in Medium | SanSan Cheek Blusher in Rosy Blush

EYES: Ever Bilena Color Pencil in Brown | ELF Wet Gloss Lash & Brow Clear Mascara | SanSan CYO Eyeshadow in Soft Sun Glow | SanSan CYO Eyeshadow in Pink Opal | SanSan CYO Eyeshadow in Warm Copper Fire | SanSan Waterproof Eyeliner Pen in Brown | Maybelline The Falsies Volum Express Waterproof in Brownish Black

LIPS: Nanny Rose’s Queen Bee Lip Balm in Four Slices of Raspberry Cheesecake | Snoe Rouge Deluxe Lipstick in Precious Pout

HOW I DID IT:

A pump of the L’Oreal  le teint True Match in Nude Amber will serve as my foundation and another half a pump for additional concealing of my blemishes. After that, I topped it with the LA Colors Loose Powder in Medium then the SanSan Cheek Blusher in Rosy Blush on my cheeks.

For my eyes, I filled in my brows using the Ever Bilena Color Pencil in Brown, tamed it with the ELF Wet Gloss Lash & Brow Clear Mascara. Then, I applied the | SanSan CYO Eyeshadow in Soft Sun Glow allover my lids, the Pink Opal on the outer lids and crease and lightly blended it with the SanSan CYO Eyeshadow in Warm Copper Fire. After the blending of the colors, I used the SanSan Waterproof Eyeliner Pen in Brown on my upper lid, curled my lashes and used the Maybelline The Falsies Volum Express Waterproof in Brownish Black for some volumizing and lengthening effect.

For my lips, I just used the Nanny Rose’s Queen Bee Lip Balm in Four Slices of Raspberry Cheesecake and topped it with the Snoe Rouge Deluxe Lipstick in Precious Pout.

Show it and wear it. I love expressing my emotions through the clothes I wear and makeup I put on.  What are your thoughts?
