Last 30th of May, I participated in a Speed Dating event
organized by Telu Events and I dragged along my friends, Ros and Paddy. It's
something I have long wanted to try and crossed off of my bucket list. When I
told my dad about it and he told me it's a bit of a desperate move for being
upfront about looking for love and romance but, honestly, who isn't looking for
it? But, actually, it's not about it for me; I believe it's beyond than that
and I wasn't wrong.
We were given 5 minutes each to talk to someone and it was
quite intense! No one stopped talking and were pretty determined to make the
most out of that 5 minutes. By the end of the event, I have talked to a lot of
interesting men and women. I made new friends! I went out with some of my
fellow participants after the event for some milk tea and shake in Eastwood and
we were able to get to know each other more as friends. Hey, speed dating is
not just for, literally, romantic dating; it's also about meeting new people,
networking and making new sets of friends.
For the makeup look that I wore for the speed dating event,
I opted for something subtle and light. You wouldn't want to go overboard and
be overly superficial, right?
PRODUCTS USED:
FACE: L’Oreal le teint True Match in Nude Beige |
Jane Be Pure Mineral Crushed Powder in Medium | NYC Cheek Glow Powder Blush in
West Side Wine
EYES: Ever Bilena Color Pencil in Brown | Clinique
Colour Surge Eyeshadow in Rosewine | SanSan Waterproof Eyeliner Pen in Brown
LIPS: Crazy Rumors Lip Balm in Peppermint Twist |
Snoe Rouge Deluxe Lipstick in Precious Pout
HOW I DID IT:
I used the L’Oreal le teint True Match in Nude Beige by
putting a pump on the back of my hand and, using my ring finger, dabbed it onto
my face and blended it well. I used another half a pump for my dark under eye
circles and blended again. Then, I used the Jane Be Pure Mineral Crushed Powder
in Medium to set my foundation and NYC Cheek Glow Powder Blush in West Side
Wine for my cheeks.
For the eyes, I used the Ever Bilena Color Pencil in Brown
to fill in my brows then the I applied the lighter shade from my Clinique Colour Surge Eyeshadow Duo in
Rosewine all over my lids and the darker
shade on my crease. I, then, used the SanSan Waterproof Eyeliner Pen in Brown
for my upper lid and the Ever Bilena Color Pencil in Brown again for half of my
waterline. I was supposed to use mascara but I left it at my place in Pampanga.
Silly me. Oh, well!
For my lips, I just went with the Crazy Rumors Lip Balm in Peppermint Twist
for moisturizing them and applied the Snoe Rouge Deluxe Lipstick in Precious
Pout for a touch of pink on my lips.
You don't need to look overly done for a date, honestly.
Your best makeup is your smile, wit and personality. As you can see, this FOTD
is one of the least number of products I have used in an FOTD post. Have you
taken notice?
Cool to see you at the event, fellow blogger! Ehehehe! I like how you applied your eye shadow. Very subtle and precise. I wish I had bothered to put on makeup for the event, but I was already running late haha
