My life isn't perfect and at times I have thought of it as
recklessly lived and crazy; but I guess my decisions in life (both the good and
the not so good) have led me into living a life, I can call, my "almost
dream life." Almost because nothing is perfect and, in a way, I can say
that I am pretty happy with how things have been going. I am at the peak of my
career, I am in a good relationship, I live on my own, and I still have time to
spend with my friends and family.

FOTD: That Subtle College Girl Makeup Look
I miss college. My four years in college is what I can
consider as the best four years of my studying life. Don't get me wrong, I
enjoyed highschool (as some would say it's what they miss more) but it was in
college that I was able to figure out who I really am. In college, I met new
friends, who may all be very different in many awesome and crazy ways, but
compliments my personality well. It was, also, in college that I was able to
understand what it is that I would like to do with my life.

FOTD: Summer Siren
It has been raining pretty hard lately and because of the
typhoons, which has been hitting our country recently. We have been
experiencing a lot of challenges that requires our tough spirit and strong will
to overcome. At times like these, I miss summer. Although I hate how hot it can
be during that time of the year, how I would sweat endlessly if I'm out, and
personally I love the cold summer rainy days; I miss going out and not having
to worry about bringing an umbrella, I miss going to work all dry and I miss
not having to worry if there would be a power interruption or if it's going to
flood in our area.

FOTD: A Simple and Casual Sunday
I went out to hang out with a friend last Sunday so I just
opted to do a simple makeup look. It's something I have been quite accustomed
to doing these past few days at work because of how crazy my schedule has been.
What I love about this look is how you can easily re-create this in less than
30 minutes and still look glam because I focused more on applying a thicker
layer of mascara to give my eyes that more dramatic effect.

FOTD: Something a Little Crazy called Speed Dating
Last 30th of May, I participated in a Speed Dating event
organized by Telu Events and I dragged along my friends, Ros and Paddy. It's
something I have long wanted to try and crossed off of my bucket list. When I
told my dad about it and he told me it's a bit of a desperate move for being
upfront about looking for love and romance but, honestly, who isn't looking for
it? But, actually, it's not about it for me; I believe it's beyond than that
and I wasn't wrong.

FOTD: A Second Chance
I don't want to believe it at first but it seems like it's
real. Second chances may happen but is it worth it? A love story that has once
been closed... Can it still have a surprisingly good sequel? I'd have to say
that there would be times when my reminiscing of the past turns into wishes of
how I'd would prefer things to happen or to end up as; but fact remains... It's
the past and there's nothing I can do to craft a change unless there would be,
like right now, a second chance at what could have been and what might have
been.

FOTD: Things Get Better not by Chance but by Change
“Change will not come
if we wait for some other person or if we wait for some other time. We are the
ones we’ve been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.” – Barack Obama
It was a blur to me at first and my decision to join and
stand up for this cause was not that strong. I almost backed out because I feel
like I don’t need this and that these people can do it by themselves. But when
I prayed really hard, asked God to give me the wisdom in making decisions,
really took the time to listen to Him, my eyes were opened to the real reason
why He wants me to stay – it’s because I am part of the change that He has been
planning. I needed to step out of my comfort zone and experience so many
changes to be able to realize that I do not need to live the kind of life I
used to have just to keep me satisfied – that true happiness comes from knowing
that what you are doing is creating an impact and that you have, genuinely,
touched lives and inspired people.

FOTD: Because I'm a Busy Gal
You won’t always have the luxury of time to just sit on your
vanity table and pick which color you would like to wear on your eyes or maybe
what kind of makeup you should be doing. Sometimes, you just need to have a
ready-to-wear makeup look for those times when you’re just in a hurry because
you woke up late *cough* or you need to be at work early morning. You don’t
want to go waking up too early just to get your makeup done, right?

FOTD: Summer Vibes
Summer might have been close to being over but this doesn’t
mean it’s already too late to create a makeup look which we can all sport till
the remaining summer days.

NYC Liquid Lipshine in Fashion Ave Fuchsia
Here's a product I've been liking lately. Well, as I've told you before, I am not a fan of lip glosses; but every once in awhile, I would be using one when I feel like I'm in the mood to go glossy and shiny on my lips. Last time, I gave you guys my thoughts on the NYC Extreme Lip Glider Lip Gloss I got from All Glammed Up; and now, here's another product from NYC I thought you might be interested on knowing about.

NYC Extreme Lip Glider Lip Gloss
I am not a fan of lip glosses and I've told you guys about that over and over again; but sometimes, I feel the need to put a gloss on my lips because there's something youthful and fresh about wearing one. Lip gloss gives my lips the plump and shiny look, which I would want to have sometimes. So, I still have a few glosses in my makeup stash and one of them is the NYC Extreme Lip Glider Lip Gloss.

FOTD: One Fine Sunday
One fine Sunday, I decided to do this look. LOL. This is the look I had when I went to the church together with a brown off-shoulder vintage looking-floral dress. The dress may be"manang" type for some but I do love the vintage look and I think it looks good on me so I'm disregarding the "manang" stereotype. Anyway, we're talking about my makeup look, right?
PRODUCTS USED:
EYES
- Shawill Eyebrow/Eyeliner Pencil & Brush
- ELF Eyelid Primer
- Clinique Colour Surge Eye Shadow Duo in Rosewine
- Love & Beauty Smokey Palette
- Wet N Wild Color Icon Brow and Eyeliner in Black
- Rimmel Waterproof Sexy Curves Full Volume and Curve Mascara
FACE
- Belo Essential Day Cover
- Aerie Color Matte Liquid Foundation in Almond
- Maybelline FITME Blush in Medium Coral
- Beauty Treats Minerals Camouflage Mineral in Medium
LIPS
- NYX Round Lipstick in Frappucino
- NYC Liquid Lipshine in Fashion Ave Fuchsia
HOW I DID IT:
Remember the first step is to always apply the moisturizer first and foremost before doing your daily makeup routine. After the moisturizer, I applied the Aerie Color Matte Liquid Foundation in Almond by stippling and blending it all over my face using the Charm Pro Stippling Brush. Even though it's a matte foundation and it gives off a powdery finish, I still want to play safe and set it off with the Beauty Treats Minerals Camouflage Mineral in Medium using my ELF Total Face Brush. For my blush , I used the Props Blush Brush to apply the Maybelline FITME Blush in Medium Coral on my cheekbone going slantly upwards.
Let's now proceed with the eyes. First I did was line my brows with the Shawill Eyebrow/Eyeliner Pencil & Brush. After that, I applied the ELF Eyelid Primer all over my lids and used my Marionnaud Brush to apply the lighter brown shade from my Clinique Colour Surge Eye Shadow Duo in Rosewine on my lids and the darker brown shade on my crease. After blending it well, I used the white shade from my Love & Beauty Smokey Palette to highlight my brow bone. For my waterline, I used the Wet N Wild Color Icon Brow and Eyeliner in Black and the Rimmel Waterproof Sexy Curves Full Volume and Curve Mascara as my mascara after curling my lashes with the G-Lish Eyelash Curler.
For my lips, I applied first the NYX Round Lipstick in Frappucino and since it gave my lips a kind of like a nude look, I topped it with the NYC Liquid Lipshine in Fashion Ave Fuchsia.
This is almost similar to yesterday's FOTD but the difference in liquid foundation made a big difference. The FOTD yesterday gave my face a natural and refreshed look while this one made it look blemish-free and smooth. Great coverage for the Aerie Color Matte Liquid Foundation in Almond.
Till next post! ;)

Drooling now? Well, we would soon be releasing some of them at All Glammed Up so better watch out. Some are for me; but I still have t o ask Fashiometics which are those. I also sent Fashiometics some Filipino cosmetics. Brands I included are EverBilena, Human Nature and G-Lish. She also requested a FaceShop wipes so I got her two.
Do you guys got friends from other countries? Do you give each other makeups so that they'd be able to try your country's cosmetics line? Well, Fashiometics has been my friend since 6th grade so we really are close ever since. Her family moved to the US when we were in senior HS and even though we're miles apart, the friendship never left our hearts.
I miss you Cel! Hope to see you soon. Either you come visit me or I'm gonna be visiting you (but not anytime soon LOL).
