FOTD: On the 25th of December

Merry after-Christmas everyone! A lot of you may have been on an out-of-town vacation, or attended/attending a family reunion this Holiday Season, but for me, this year's Christmas has been the simplest and one of the most meaningful and sincere one I have had.

This is the first time that we never had a Noche Buena celebration. Everyone kind of just wanted to sleep; but when we woke up, we had breakfast and exchanged gifts. I received an umbrella from my parents (yes, I need it), a Belle de Jour Power Planner from my sister Czarina (theblacksheeproject.blogspot.com), and a book (The Art of Thinking Clearly by Rolf Dobelli) from my youngest sister Christine. As usual, some of my god kids came to greet me a Merry Christmas and to get their Christmas gift, of course. And for the afternoon, we went to visit my grandfather at the cemetery(who just died last October 13, 2014) and brought some food to celebrate Christmas with him. First Christmas without him - feels different, but we need to get used to it. I still miss him.

Aside from the family celebration, I asked my parents' permission to let me visit the boyfriend at his office. Yes, he was staying at the office on Christmas to finish some work. I stayed the night with him and his other officemates and tried to cheer him up (and bother him) while he was doing work. To tell you quite frankly, this is the first Christmas that I have ever been with someone I am in a relationship with. I haven't spent a single holiday even with my last ex (three years ago) ever. This time, it's different.  You see, we don't get to see each other often because of work and both of  us understand the situation; but it's Christmas and aside from the gift I got him, I also want to make the day extra special by being with him even while he is working. And, I guess, his officemates already got used to seeing me around the office bothering them and whatnot.

Okay, enough of that long post. Let me share with you my Christmas day makeup look. I just wanted something beautiful yet simple.

PRODUCTS USED:

FACE: Revlon Custom Creations 030 (Light Medium) | Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in Silky Beige | Happy Skin Shut Up & Kiss Me Lip & Cheek Mousse in My Guilty Pleasure

EYES: Happy Skin Eye Love View Pencil & Marker Eyebrow Duo in Chic Brown | Clinique Color Surge Eye Shadow Duo in Rosewine |  Revlon Color Stay 16Hour Eyeshadow in Inspired |  SanSan Waterproof Eyeliner in Brown | SanSan Kohl Eyeliner in Black | Clinique High Impact Mascara in Black

LIPS: Crazy Rumors Lip Balm in Peppermint Twist | Happy Skin Shut Up & Kiss Me Lip & Cheek Mousse in My Guilty Pleasure

HOW I DID IT:

I started off with applying the Revlon Custom Creations 030 (Light Medium) on my face as my foundation with the use of my fingers.  Since with the Revlon Custom Creations, you have a choice on which shade from it you'd be using, I turned it on number 5 for its darkest considering its original shade is light medium. So after blending it well, I topped it with the Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in Silky Beige for setting purposes and applied just a dot of the Happy Skin Shut Up & Kiss Me Lip & Cheek Mousse in My Guilty Pleasure on my cheeks and blended it using my fingers again.

For my eyes, I used the felt tip of the Happy Skin Eye Love View Pencil & Marker Eyebrow Duo in Chic Brown to line my brows, blended it with the pencil part and smudged it a bit, for a more natural effect, using a brow brush. Then, for the colors on my eyes, I used the lighter brown shade in my Clinique Color Surge Eye Shadow Duo in Rosewine all over my lids, the darker brown shade on my crease and topped the outer crease with the purple shade in my Revlon Color Stay 16Hour Eyeshadow in Inspired. Then, I used the SanSan Waterproof Eyeliner in Brown on my upper lid, the SanSan Kohl Eyeliner in Black on the outer half of my waterline and the white shade in my Revlon Color Stay 16Hour Eyeshadow in Inspired for the inner half. I also used the same white shade for my brow bone and in the inner corners of my eye. Then, I curled my lashes and used the Clinique High Impact Mascara in Black.

For the lips, I used the Crazy Rumors Lip Balm in Peppermint Twist to keep it moisturized and topped it with the Happy Skin Shut Up & Kiss Me Lip & Cheek Mousse in My Guilty Pleasure.

How about you, how was your 25th?Care to share? :)

    1. It lasts the whole day! I use an EB pencil for my brows before but after using the Happy Skin Eye Love View, I think I'm sticking with this one!

  3. Love the blending on your eye makeup! <3 And the colors, sultry yet still very wearable and neat. Anyway, our Christmas was simple too. As usual, the parents already slept before Noche Buena. Haha! And it was me, my little sis and our dogs and cats who had a Christmas feast. XD
