Trying Out the Myra Facial Wash

If you have been following me on social media, you’ll notice how I am back to taking #selfie photos again. Lately, I have been very confident with my skin and I’d love to share and inspire you all about how focusing on having a healthy and glowing skin is so much better than trying to cover up your blemishes.

Some people would just go about with settling for an awesome concealer; and while the makeup skills can be admired, it is still preferred to start with a clean canvas plus… Prevention is better than cure, right?

When I received a package from Myra a few days ago to try out their Myra Vitasmooth Hydrating Facial Wash and Myra Vitawhite Whitening Facial Wash, I was so excited because anything that will take care of my skin is a total go for me.

My First Impression: Myra Vitasmooth Hydrating Facial Wash

After the first wash, I felt that squeaky clean feeling on my skin but not too much to leave it dry. Since it’s a hydrating facial wash that’s already kind of expected. I prefer a facial wash that will also act as a makeup remover and, initially, I honestly thought it won’t do the job but it did! It claims to deeply cleanse the skin and rids dirt and excess oil while maintaining skin’s natural moisture to help keep it healthy, soft, and young-looking.  Perfect, right? It also has Moisture Plus formula that retains and seals in skin’s natural moisture, keeping it hydrated and suppler, and French Spring Sea Water and Aloe Vera Extract that improves skin elasticity. Oh and it also has those antioxidant Vitamin E beads which helps protect and nourish the skin.

There are no significant changes in my skin because this is more of “for maintenance” product which means that the result will be evident as time goes by. Again, prevention than cure, right?

My First Impression: Myra VitaWhite Whitening Facial Wash

If you have been hanging around my blog for quite some time now, you probably know that I am not a big fan of whitening products. It’s just because I love my skin color and anything that intends to change it to look whiter (because apparently some Filipino people think being white is so much better) is a bit of a turn off for me. That’s how I, initially, felt for this product. But upon reading what it generally does for my skin, I said… Go! Let’s do this. Aside from its whitening effect, what I loved about this product is that it has Niacinamide that evens out our skin tone by reducing red blotches to make skin more radiant. Oh where were you during my college years? It also deeply cleanses the skin and rids it from dirt and excess oil as well while making the skin look naturally brighter in as early as 7 days. It also has the Vitamin E beads for skin protection and nourishment. Oh and if you’re wondering: “what if it’s harsh to the skin since it’s a whitening product?” Well, fret not, for this is hypoallergenic and dermatologist-tested. It’s mild, gentle, and safe for everyday use.

Impressed so far?

After using the Myra Vita Facial Washes, I dried my face with the Aquazorb Fingertip Towel. Just dab the towel on your face and don’t go wiping like your face is a car window. It needs to be treated gently, okay?

I feel like the product that bonded well with me more is the Myra Vitasmooth Hydrating Facial Wash. I would love to bring it along when I travel since it’s also very compact and can fit my skin care travel pouch. The Myra VitaWhite Facial Wash, on the other hand, is something I wish existed during my college years. Those were the days when I was having uneven skin tone problems.

How about you, do you already have a favorite among the two Myra Facial Wash products?

  2. I'm not very fond of whitening products, either. Perhaps I'll give the VitaSmooth a try. Sounds like something my skin would appreciate, especially during this time of the year. :)
