We cannot
deny the fact that internet has now become a necessity and almost every
business, establishment, and home, has their own means of connecting to the rest
of the world may it be through fiber, DSL, or even using mobile data. I
remember when I first went online, my purpose was solely to play games. It
eventually evolved into joining forums where I can connect and meet people whom
I share the same interests with to using messengers like Yahoo Messenger to
easily connect with friends instead of the usual telebabad moments.
But now,
the internet has become way more than that. People have been using it not just
to connect with others or entertain themselves, but we’ve also used it for promotion
and marketing, influencing and connecting with more people, and even in finding
new ways on how to earn and make a living digitally.
Last May
31, 2019, I was invited to attend the launch of Eastern Communications’
Internet Direct Service (IDS) and Leased Line Data solutions, which aims to
cater to the growing market and increasing demand for telecommunications
services in Clark, Pampanga.
What is
IDS (Internet Direct Service)?
It is a
premium and dedicated internet service with 1:1 contention ratio. It runs
through Eastern Communications’ fiber optic network, capable of providing
gigabit per second connection between the Philippines and peering partners in
the Asia Pacific Region, as well as the US and Europe. IDS has high-speed, high
quality, and redundant links, making it ideal for companies with round-the-clock,
mission critical transactions.
Eastern
Communications also offers Managed SD-WAN (Software-Defined Networking in a
Wide Area Network) for businesses that have a lot of bandwidth needs. It
basically enables enterprises to dynamically route traffic across a hypbrid
WAN, perfect for multi-site and multi-branch businesses.
They can
also cater to companies with overseas branches, which will pave way to a secure
way of transferring of confidential information either point-to-point or
multipoint. Ethernet International Private Line (EIPL) and Global Multi-Protocol
Label Switching (MPLS) are among Eastern Communications variety of data
networking solutions for enterprises that provide high speed, point-to-point,
and point to multipoint service that transmits simultaneous two-way traffic
between customer locations in the Philippines and across the world.
“Clark,
Pampanga forms the hub for various businesses like Manufacturing, Logistics,
and IT-BPO industries. Eastern Communications takes this opportunity to help
companies continue their growth and we’re looking forward to bringing them our
other services in the future,” shared Eastern Communications Regional Sales
Head Anthony Co.
