I’m glad my friends from the Pampanga Bloggers’ Society finally got the time to visit Manila; and since one of the things Pampanga is known for is their awesome culinary skill and great food, what could my Kapampangan friends want to try in Manila?

Visiting Nayong Pilipino and Appreciating the PH Culture More

I was a Nayong Pilipino regular as a kid. A field trip won’t be complete if a visit to Nayong Pilipino wasn’t in the itinerary and my trip there won’t be complete if I didn’t buy a wooden toy snake. Oh those were the days. So when I found out that Nayong Pilipino in Manila would be closing, it felt like a part of my childhood would be erased and I wouldn’t be able to take my kids there and tell them about the many wonderful memories I’ve had in that place.

To be quite honest, it still feels surreal that I finally have a community here in Pampanga. I thought I’d miss Manila so much that I will find myself back in its arms every weekend; but here I am, leaving a weekend open to meet up with the Pampanga Bloggers Society.
