Nichido Final Powder

After I've found the best mineral loose powder which answers all my needs I now find it hard to repurchase since it's from Jane Cosmetics and it's not available locally. Boo! Though my online store, All Glammed Up, sells 'em we're already out of stock because it's really one helluva great product. So the search for the next loose powder on my makeup kit has been unleashed and first on my list is the Nichido Final Powder in So Natural.

The Good Bits:

I actually have a different loose powder in hand when I saw this product. It's 25g and I'm expecting it to be a bit more expensive; but I stand corrected. For only P150, you can get 25g of this product. That is definitely a pro to me. It has a classy packaging, and the mouth of the canister is big enough so I can just put some product on the lid and use my kabuki brush. This is how I want my loose powder to be applied. However if you do not have the brush, it comes with a powder sponge so no need to worry. I use this to set my foundation and it does the job well. But when I'm in a hurry and have no time to put a liquid foundation on, I just use my Snoe Here Comes the Sunblock and then top it with this finishing powder and it won't leave your face looking all white like some ordinary loose/talc powder does. It gives my skin a matte and glowing finish just how I want my loose powder to be.

The Bad Bits:

During my first week of using this product, zits started popping out of my face and since this is the only product I use, I know this is the one to blame. Thank God for the Snoe White Beauty Soap in Calamansi and to my Celeteque Acne Cleansing Gel they have disappeared and I still continued using the product. So far, no zits have popped out so I guess I might have just been pretty stressed out during that week so I'm not blaming the powder now. LOL. The application can be a bit messy if you're not careful enough which is a slight con to how big the mouth of the canister is. Oh, and when you started to sweat, the powder tends to clump on some parts of your face which will leave you with having an uneven color on your skin.

Over-All:

It definitely is worth the price and I may buy the product again next time. I still want to try out different product and rest assured I will be looking for a cheap yet reliable one. You know how kuripot I am right? This product does the job and I just can't get over the fact that it's so inexpensive. The clumping part is the only thing I didn't like; maybe it's because I compared it with a mineral loose powder (Jane Cosmetics); but other than that, thumbs up!  I'm giving this product a rating of 8/10.

  1. I also just purchsaedthis product to try it out. So far, no clumping. But I'll see! I've only been using it for two days. Haha! Good review :)

  2. I've always been wary of local products because they tend to break me out. So I tend to avoid powders, concealers and blushes from local brands... but I may just try this out if I get over that phobia.

    Thanks for the review!
