The Building Blocks of Fun in Makeup

Fundamentals are the building blocks of fun.” - Mikhail Baryshnikov

First time I’ve actually heard about this quote was while I was watching the movie Uptown Girls starring Britanny Murphy and Dakota Fanning. And I actually believe in this. I mean, there is a reason why we took up those years in 6 years in elementary school, 4 years in high school and (for me) an additional of 4 years in college. People keep saying that they’ve never used the stuff they learned from school, but that could be because you’re in a different career path than what you really took up, but I’m perfectly happy about my education and how it actually helped me in my current career. Yes, experience is still the best teacher but school will help you get ready for the experiencing part.

Just a week ago, I got an email from Virginia Olsen about their upcoming Basic Mineral Makeup Workshop with Michelle Dy. Being a beauty blogger, I’ve self-taught myself about makeup application and believe me, I’ve had my fair shares of hit and miss. That’s the price I’d have to pay for not taking up makeup classes. But, I still do have plans of taking up makeup classes but it’s not yet part of this year’s budget because I still believe it’s necessary if I want to pursue another career as a makeup artist (at least that’s what I think).

The 1-Day Basic Mineral Makeup Workshop with Michelle Dy will be held every Saturdays of December (1, 8 and 15) from 1-5PM at 2904 Atlanta Centre 31 Annapolis St., Greenhills. There is a registration fee of P1,500.00, which will include your snacks and materials already. Reserve your slots ASAP because there is a limit of 10 students per session. For more details, you may email: info@virginiaolsen.com

Stay gorgeous everyone!
