Beauty Treats Color Impact Lipstick

Hola! Here I am again on the look for the cheapest yet decent makeup we could find. So, as some of you may have read from my previous blog post, I went on a midweek haul and what caught my attention were the Beauty Treats lipsticks, which are super inexpensive. I mean, come on! P99 for a lipstick, is this for real?

The Beauty Treats Color Impact Lipstick is so damn cheap for an international brand I had to ask again for the price to confirm it. Hahaha! I mean, come on, how cheap could it be in the US? But because it’s cheap I want to know if the quality didn’t suffer in the process; you know what they say, “you get what you pay for.” I don’t want to buy all the shades just for the sake of trying so I got two shades, which I think would look okay on me, the Sunset and Copper Rose.

The Good Bits:

(L) Sunset (R) Copper Rose
(L) Sunset (R) Copper Rose
I can say that its biggest pro is the fact that it’s inexpensive. Come on, P99.00 for a lipstick! The shades I got were decent enough and it lasted for 3-4 hours or until your next meal. It didn’t dry up my lips, which is one of the things I highly consider when it comes to using lipsticks, and they’re available in almost all Watsons branches. The pigmentation is average; it needs, at least, two swipes on your lips to show off its color. It has a sweet candy-like scent so it’s actually fun to smell while you’re swiping it on your lips.

The Bad Bits:

The packaging looks very cheap and fragile. The case is a clear plastic, which isn’t the usual classy casing I fancy in most lipsticks. If it’s much of a hassle for you to do a few swipes on your lips just to get the best color it can give, then maybe this is not a very practical product for you. The lipstick also transfers even after an hour of wearing it so it’s a bit disappointing.

Over-All:

Sunset Shade
Copper Rose Shade
You really do get what you pay for. Hahaha! I am giving this product a rating of 6/10. The price will push you buy this but there are things to be considered as well. But it’s decent enough, it’s not so bad, it just looks so cheap so I really don’t want to flaunt it in my everyday makeup pouch. Well, it is really cheap. Hahaha! The Sunset has this very light orange-y color, which is good for a day makeup look and the Copper Rose reminds me of my MAC Lip Glass in Gitane, which is a frosted burgundy-ish color perfect for your night outs!

How about you, will you give this product a try?
