FOTD: Sweet Baby Girl

When we were younger, we were just so eager to grow old and get over those restrictions, break the rules (FINALLY) and be, hopefully, independent. But when we’re finally, officially, adults (age-wise, at least) we feel like going back to being that young and worry-free little girl who haven’t experienced the hardships and heartaches we have gone through all those years. It sucks, no? But still, life is beautiful. Our experiences may be a colorful set of laughter and tears but it if you look back, I bet you would not want to change a thing; because who you are today is a product of how you have grown up through all those years.

Come to think of it, growing up isn’t so bad after all. Yes, my heart had been broken, but I finally felt those silly butterflies in my stomach that I have been hearing so much of when I was just a little girl. My disappointments and failures were turned into lesson-learned scenarios which helped me become stronger and wiser as I move on with life. So, tell me, still want to go back to being that worry-free little girl or you’d rather be the strong and experienced woman you are right now?

Makeup-wise though, who doesn’t want to look young? I came up with this makeup look I sported at work because I feel like being a little cute innocent girl that day and as officemates said it, “achieve na achieve!” I was even talking to everyone in a soft-toned voice and they were freaked out at how good I was at being “in character” with my makeup look.

PRODUCTS USED:

FACE: Aerie Color SPF 15 Hydrating Foundation in Almond | SanSan Foundation Cream | LA Colors Loose Powder in Medium | Clinique Soft-Pressed Powder Blusher in Pink Blush

EYES: Ever Bilena Color Pencil in Brown | Ever Bilena Advanced HD Colorless Mascara | SanSan CYO Eyeshadow in Pink Opal and Deep Earth Brown| SanSan Kohl Eyeliner in black | Maybelline The Falsies Volum Express Waterproof in Brownish Black

LIPS: Lip Ice Lip Balm in Orange Mandarin | MAC Satin Lipstick in Mocha

HOW I DID IT:

Go with a flawless face! I used the Aerie Color SPF 15 Hydrating Foundation in Almond as my foundation (duh) and then using my foundation brush, I applied the SanSan Foundation Cream on my under eye area to brighten them up and create this glowing look on my cheek bone as well. Then, I used the Clinique Soft-Pressed Powder Blusher in Pink Blush as my blush to give it just that pinkish and youthful glow.

Using my camera phone and this is at work already Look how the SanSan Eyeshadows lasted long on my lids

For the eyes, I used the Ever Bilena Color Pencil in Brown for filling in my brows and the Ever Bilena Advanced HD Colorless Mascara for taming and setting them. Then, I proceeded to using the SanSan CYO Eyeshadow in Pink Opal all over my lids and then the Deep Earth Brown shade for the crease and outer lid. The pink will make the look more girly and cute while the Deep Earth Brown shade will create more definition to help the color stand out more. The SanSan Kohl Eyeliner in black goes to my waterline, and then I curled my lashes and applied the Maybelline The Falsies Volum Express Waterproof in Brownish Black on them.

For the lips, I used the Lip Ice Lip Balm in Orange Mandarin to prep for the MAC Satin Lipstick in Mocha, which is a toned down lip color so that the focus will be more on the pink and girly eye color.

Try wearing this makeup look at work and see how people might confuse you to being a student. Someone actually did confuse me as a college student when I was on my way to work. Amazing, no?

  3. Love this sweet makeup look. I haven't heard of Aerie foundation? Do you have a review on that? I wanna see! :) We're the same, when I was younger, I always tell my mom "I want to be 18 and be legally dalaga" but now I'm on my twenties and I want to go back to those teenage days and stop adding years to my age for a moment. :D
