“Back then I swore I was gonna marry him someday but I realized some bigger dreams of mine...”
Attending an 18th Birthday Party used to be the shit if you are in that age bracket. I have attended a few, myself, and it feels so “adult.” But attending an 18th Birthday Party at the age of 23 (turning 24) feels like I am attending a children’s party. Honestly, is that how I used to act like when I was around their age? Damn, I felt so ancient. But it seems like kids these days want to grow so fast that sometimes, they miss out on the lovely teenage-hood they should be cherishing.
And so to all those who are 18 (and even younger):
“Don’t rush things before you miss out on the best things life has got to offer. Live a life with no regrets and although you may, at times, stumble and fall, get back up again and continue walking and living. Don’t waste every single moment in your life. Good things are still bound to happen for you are still young and have so much time to use for making mistakes and learning from them. There may be times when you feel like you’re carrying the world on your shoulders – been there done that – but you still have got a lot to go through, honestly. So, just do the best you can and be a better version of yourself every day.”
I miss being in college. I do. College has been one hell of a roller coaster ride but it was better than high school to tell you quite frankly.
“And when you’re fifteen (or eighteen), don’t forget to look before you fall...”
FACE: Aerie Color in Almond |SanSan Foundation Cream | LA Colors Loose Powder in Medium | Ever Bilena Cheek Blush in Cheek
EYES: Ever Bilena Color Pencil in Brown | Ever Bilena Advanced HD Colorless Mascara | Miss Bella Cosmetics 120 Color Rainbow Palette | SanSan Gel Eyeliner in Black | SanSan Kohl Eyeliner in black | Maybelline The Falsies Volum Express Waterproof in Brownish Black
LIPS: Lip Ice Lip Balm in Orange Mandarin | Snoe Rouge Deluxe in Mauve Movement
HOW I DID IT:
After spreading the Aerie Color in Almond equally on my face using my fingers, I used the SanSan Foundation Cream to further cover my blemishes, specifically on my under eye area. Afterwards, I used the LA Colors Loose Powder in Medium to set the foundation and used the Ever Bilena Cheek Blush in Cheek on my cheeks.
For the eyes, I used the Ever Bilena Color Pencil in Brown to fill in my brows and to set and to tame them, I used Ever Bilena Advanced HD Colorless Mascara. For my eye color, I used my Miss Bella Cosmetics 120 Color Rainbow Palette and the #1 shade went all over my lids, then the #2 on my crease (start from the outer and pull the color inwards and blend well) and then the #3 on my brow bone. Then, I used the SanSan Gel Eyeliner in Blackfor my upper lids, the SanSan Kohl Eyeliner in black on my waterline and for my lashes, the Maybelline The Falsies Volum Express Waterproof in Brownish Black.
I, then, finished off the look with the Lip Ice Lip Balm in Orange Mandarin topped with the Snoe Rouge Deluxe in Mauve Movement for my lip color.
A makeup look which makes me a few years younger – or at least that is how I feel. If I could go back to being 19 and in college I will. I want to relive every single moment again if given the chance but I would never change a thing. Whatever I did in the past, even the not-so-good ones, made me who I am today. For without them, how could I have grown and learn the things I know now?
