L'Oreal Paris le teint True Match in Nude Amber

If I become comfortable over a certain product, it’s usually hard for me to let go of it. It will become a staple in my stash for months and even years depending on how long I’d stay in love with it. For about a year, I have been attached to my SanSan BB Cream and was very comfortable with it because (1) it works and (2) it’s super inexpensive. What more can you ask for, right? But during a sale in Landmark, I was, impulsively, pushed to try out a new foundation out of the blue.

I remembered how the first foundation that worked for me was from L’Oreal so I dropped by their stall and asked for a good full coverage foundation and was handed the L’Oreal le teint True Match in Nude Amber. What are its claims?

One pump :)

Spreading :)

Blended :)
It says in the bottle that it has SPF 17, which is a big check, right? It also has Hyaluronic Acid, which will keep your skin hydrated all day; has ultra-fine pigments for an even more precise match with our skin tone; and outstanding, yes it says outstanding, coverage for a flawless natural makeup coverage.

The Good Bits:

I like the aesthetic features of its glass bottle. It makes the product look really classy and a definite must-see in your makeup pouch. The price is reasonable, and although I bought it during a sale, I wouldn’t mind buying the bottle again for its regular price. I think it’s a thousand bucks and a bit more or barely a thousand bucks; either way, it’s worth it. When it says that it has an outstanding coverage, it kids you not. I don’t use any concealer and yet the foundation can do a great job in leaving my skin looking flawless the whole day. I use one full pump to cover my whole face up to my neck and half a pump for my under eye and some stubborn blemishes which are still a bit visible; but aside from this, I don’t use any other products for additional coverage. I’m all good! It lasts almost the whole day. I just need a few retouch on my powder at the end of a day’s work and I’m good to go out on a date! It’s easy to blend and doesn’t feel heavy on the skin; neither would it dry your skin because of its hydrating ingredient – the Hyaluronic Acid. Oh, and it kinda looks like it shimmers and glitters on your skin. It’s so cute and pretty but I don’t know if you’d prefer it.

The Bad Bits:

Would it be harder to finish it up to its last drop because of the glass bottle and pump feature? We’ll see. And be careful with the glass bottle – as pretty as it may look, it’s still glass so don’t be too clumsy on this one. The glittery and shimmery after effect – I don’t know if you’d prefer it or not.

Over-All:

This is the foundation I’m currently in love with. I’m giving it a rating of 10/10. Gives me awesome coverage at a reasonable price plus lasts almost the whole day. For now, I’m good. What foundation are you currently in love with? Share it with me at the comments section below. I would love to read your thoughts.

The Foundation Transformation:

No makeup or any products on my face

One pump is enough for my whole face

Blended! Done? Nah-ah!

Half a pump more for my under eyes and other places with more noticeable blemishes and/or discoloration

Blended. Better? Now, add makeup!

  1. I think it looks a little ashy on you, or maybe it's the loose powder you used to set the foundation. Nevertheless, looks awesome and I might just try it out for myself :)

    1. I figured it's the lighting. It looks better with the flash which is what matters more. So I took a picture na one with a flash and the other without it :)

  2. The shade really suits your complexion, and the coverage looks pretty good. I'd be discouraged to buy this one though, because of the glass bottle. It's hard to have anything made of glass in our bedroom since I have a very curious five-year-old. Haha! :)

  4. I'm also using L'oreal True Match! So far I think it has great coverage though I think I'm not using it to its fullest extent. Thanks for the "half a pump" second layering technique. I think I will try that next time! :) Miss you Gel! Happy New Year!

  8. Have you tried L'Oreal Lucent Magique (still catching up on your blog posts since I switched to Feedly)?

It has SPF 24 naman. Maybe you'll match with G7. I use it more as a tinted moisturizer.

    2. Naku, if that's the case, don't get Lucent Magique, light to medium coverage lang sya. Thinking of investing in a high-end foundation, Ipon-ipon muna.
