I remember as a kid, me and my sister would play and do cartwheels and such things as if we’re performing at a live audience. It made us feel so kickass because, hey, not everyone can do those. Seeing how acrobats and such people do it on TV, you’d be totally amazed at how awesome their flexibility, balance and focus are – very admirable, indeed.
This Christmas vacation, I’m looking forward to the “MagiKaria, A Fantastical Magical Experience” brought by internationally acclaimed Circus Vargas Troupe, one of the world’s biggest travelling circuses.
The show will amaze its audience with gravity-defying flights, flashy costumes, fun dance routines, and other deliriously delightful antics. Circus Vargas will bring back the old school circus entertainment mixed with modern twists – the aerial ballet using streams of chiffon material hanging from the ceiling, Zorro Low Wire leaping and flipping over various obstacles in his way, and other acrobatic stunts done in trampolines. Spell F-U-N!
The show will also feature the upbeat juggling style of Michael Ferrari, a 4th generation performer who started at 13 years old, together with the death-defying cannon jumper Leo Garcia. And of course, there’s the thrilling trio of motorcycle riders doing their dangerous stunts inside the round metal cage called the Thunder Globe. OMG, I am getting excited!
But wait, there’s more! What’s a circus performance without magic and illusions? They’d also feature Patrick Gable, a charismatic illusionist, which will surely impress and make everyone believe that there really is such thing as magic.
This event will be held at the SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia Complex in Pasay City from December 25, 2013 to January 1, 2014. You can buy your tickets at SM Tickets, SM Cinema, and Snack Time outlets.
