FOTD: Doing the Right Thing Anyway

Decisions and choices – how do we make them? Is it based on what we feel is right or based on what we think can save our current position and state in life? Stepping into the unknown and doing the things you believe can be of bigger benefit to more people is something every man dreams of having the courage to do; and I am not an exception. But what was stopping me before? It is my fear of being lost, leaving the life I have so gotten used to and not being able to have a clear picture of what may happen tomorrow. That fear is what’s stopping me from actually doing what my heart desires and I was just following what would keep me from taking risks so I can prevent myself from stumbling down and getting hurt.

This subtle makeup look is a combination of glamour and simplicity. I used a different loose powder for this makeup look for some shimmer effects and a nude lip color to give my face a fresh and youthful look.

LIPS: Nanny Rose's Queen Bee Lip Balm in Four Slices of Raspberry Cheesecake | Skin Food Lip Gloss in The Chocolate Makes You More Sweet & Deep

HOW I DID IT:

The first thing I did is to use a pump of the L’Oreal le teint True Match in Nude Amber as my foundation and then another half pump for further concealing. Then, I used the Nichido Bronzing Powder in GO Bronze to set the foundation and give my face that shimmery matte finish. For my blush, I used the Clinique Soft-Pressed Powder Blusher in Pink Blush to give me those natural rosy cheeks look.

For the eyes, I used the  Ever Bilena Color Pencil in Brown to fill in my brows and the ELF Wet Gloss Lash & Brow Clear Mascara to tame and set it. Then, I used the SanSan CYO Eyeshadow in Water Terra Cotta all over my lids and the SanSan CYO Eyeshadow in Ash Gray for my crease and outer lid area. I used the SanSan Waterproof Eyeliner Pen in Black to line my upper lids and then the SanSan Kohl Eyeliner in Black to line half of my waterline. I, then, curled my lashes and applied the Maybelline The Falsies Volum Express Waterproof in Brownish Black on them.

For the lip color, I used the Nanny Rose's Queen Bee Lip Balm in Four Slices of Raspberry Cheesecake for moisturizing and preparing my lips for the Skin Food Lip Gloss in The Chocolate Makes You More Sweet & Deep that I opted to use on it.

No one can ever tell what the future holds; but if we try to carefully assess things and weigh what really matters and what really needs to be done according to what we firmly believe is right, we don’t have to worry. To be honest, things will never be always easy and smooth especially if you are fighting for what is right; for some people will always pursue the things that can superficially satisfy them. But stay put, stay honest and be selfless for there will always be the right time and the right place for things. Just do what you know is right and everything else will soon follow.
