FOTD: Where the Sun is Shining On Us Still

“I carry the weight of you in my heavy heart; and the wind is so icy I am numb.”

Have you ever had those moments when you thought you have fully moved on from something; but on those alone moments, it will all flash back inside of your head and you just can’t seem to move on and comprehend why it has all flown away so fast. You would still reminisce the moments and long for his touch and his kiss and everything else in it.  There was that perfect connection that, weird enough, lasted for only a short period of time; but you can never get over it. Everything else that follow, seem to not have the same kind of magic and if time permits, you will relive each and every moment that you have spent together. I know that there are better things coming my way, but there will always be that one that got away until someone else comes and fills up the empty spaces he came out of.

The makeup look I did for this post gives off a shade of blue, which symbolizes hope – hope for a new start soon and better things to come my way.

PRODUCTS USED:

FACE: L’Oreal le teint True Match in Nude Amber | Nichido Bronzing Powder in GO Bronze | NYC Cheek Glow Powder Blush in West Side Wine

EYES: Ever Bilena Color Pencil in Brown | ELF Wet Gloss Lash & Brow Clear Mascara | Revlon Color Stay 16 Hour Eyeshadow in Inspired (Blue Shade) | Clinique Colour Surge Eyeshadow in Rosewine (Dark Brown Shade) | SanSan Waterproof Eyeliner Pen in Black | SanSan Kohl Eyeliner in Black | Maybelline The Falsies Volum Express Waterproof in Brownish Black

LIPS: Nanny Rose's Queen Bee Lip Balm in Four Slices of Raspberry Cheesecake | SanSan Long Wearing Lip Sheer in Peach Glow

HOW I DID IT:

I started with a pump of the L’Oreal le teint True Match in Nude Amber and equally applied it all lover my face and another half pump for more coverage on my under eye area. Afterwards, I set it with the Nichido Bronzing Powder in GO Bronze and used the NYC Cheek Glow Powder Blush in West Side Wine for some blush on my cheeks.

For the eyes, I used the Ever Bilena Color Pencil in Brown to line my brows and set it with the ELF Wet Gloss Lash & Brow Clear Mascara after smudging and shaping my brows. I, then, applied the Revlon Color Stay 16 Hour Eyeshadow in Inspired (Blue Shade) all over my lids and then used the Clinique Colour Surge Eyeshadow in Rosewine (Dark Brown Shade) on my crease. Then, I lined my upper lid line with the SanSan Waterproof Eyeliner Pen in Black and lined a quarter of my waterline with the SanSan Kohl Eyeliner in Black. I curled my lashes afterwards and then used the Maybelline The Falsies Volum Express Waterproof in Brownish Black on them.

For the lips, I used the Nanny Rose's Queen Bee Lip Balm in Four Slices of Raspberry Cheesecake to prep it for the SanSan Long Wearing Lip Sheer in Peach Glow as my lip color.

At the end of the day I know I should move forward and continue on with life, which is what I’m doing exactly. Times like this cannot be prevented because reminiscing a good past comes naturally and all we can do is accept them as they are and continue walking forward.

  1. I love your shimmery eyes! The rosewine is subtle enough for the day, but really gorgeous up close with the flash on.
