FOTD: Corporate Glam Makeup Look

I have been pretty stressed and busy lately at work. It kind of feel like I need something new or a change in my routine. I have thought getting a haircut a week ago but I remember that I have been trying to grow my hair longer because I’d want to have it styled wavy or curly at the bottom… So short hair? Not today. And then it dawned on me that I have been doing the same makeup look at work over and over again. I need to start being creative with my makeup looks again! And now you might see more frequent FOTD posts from this blog (which can also mean more makeup purchases to be able to experiment more)!

LIPS: Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet Lipstick in  L’Exuberante

HOW I DID IT:

First, I applied the L’Oreal True Match Foundation in N7 (Nude Ambre) all over my face, blended it and applied the MAC Mineralize Concealer in NW35 in an inverted triangle way on my undereye area. After that, I used the Flormar Invisible Loose Powder in Silver Sand to do its setting power.

Now to the eyes! After filling in my brows using the In2IT Triangular Eyebrow Liner in WTB02 (Tawny), I proceeded straight to the lids. I used the SanSan CYO Eyeshadow in Warm Copper Fire all over my lids and the SanSan CYO Eyeshadow in Yellow Topaz on my crease area and then blended it. Remember to take your time in blending. Rushed blending do not look good. So after that, I used the darkest brown shade from my NYX Escape with Rico 3 Color Shadow Palette in Love in Rio for a darker outer crease area just to give it a bit of “drama” and then blended it again. After that, I used the Maybelline Hyper Sharp Liner on my upper lash line, the The Face Shop Gelset Smudgeproof Auto Eyeliner on my waterline, and the Maybelline The Hyper Curl Volum Express Waterproof in Very Black on my curled lashes using my Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler.

For the lips, I just used the Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet Lipstick in  L’Exuberante.

This look kind of has this golden smoky feel in it because of the slightly shimmery Yellow Topaz eyeshadow and was more emphasized by the dark brown shade from the NYX palette. Will you give this look a try?
