Forever 21 Style Insider and More Plussize Love

It was only recently that I started exploring and loving shopping in real life. For years, I’ve been so insecure to go to the plussize section or ask for the largest size because whether we admit it or not, our society kind of raised us to be ashamed of being fat. It’s like if you’re fat, you’re not supposed to deserve trendy clothing. You’ll just have to be satisfied with the limited options for your size.

Online shopping became sort of my savior. I can buy trendier plussize clothes but usually it’s hard to find the perfect size. Clothes really are better fit in person than just visualizing things online. When I first heard about Forever 21 arriving in the Philippines I was like… Meh; but after finding out that they have good plussize selections I got excited. I became an instant fan.

Last May 11, 2016 (Wow, this post is long overdue, yes?) Forever 21 invited me to the launched of the Forever 21 Style Insider. I was ready to go and leave work early but stuff happened. I needed to finish work up to 4:00 PM and you know how I still work all the way from Pampanga, yes? I texted the organizers to tell them I will be super late because of an emergency at work and I’m glad they understood.

When shit is bound to happen, shit will happen.

I arrived just when the event ended. They also released a new collection which I so regret not seeing on their runway; but we can’t undo things can we?

Anyway, what is Forever 21 Style Insider, you ask?

Basically Forever 21 Style Insider is a personal styling and shopping service for free at all Forever 21 branches in the Philippines. Yep, fashion consultation for free, ladies and gents! After the consultation, they will be providing you with a style prescription featuring clothes from Forever 21 that flatters your curves and be the perfect fit for your shape. This is a perfect opportunity to learn more about what looks best on you plus, again, it’s free so what have you got to lose?

I’m totally trying out their Style Insider service soon (I need to find a free time when I’m in Manila) because I’d love to get an expert’s view plus I might be missing out on pieces I thought wouldn’t look good on me.

Oh, I wouldn’t be showing you my Forever 21 Haul because I want it to be a surprise for my future OOTD posts. If you’ve been reading my blog lately, I already wore one of the clothes I got from then and posted it. Yep, it was my Blog Anniversary post. I super love the romper and believe it or not, it’s my first ever romper. I didn’t know rompers would look good on me. I will definitely be showing you more of the plussize goodies from Forever 21 so better watch out for them!

So here is the romper from Forever 21 which made me miss summer more. I wore this during an out of town summer/mother's day vacation treat for my mom and sisters. Time to give back, yes? :)

P.S. Sorry I don’t have much photos because as I’ve told you a while ago… I was late. But expect OOTD posts for their new plussize collection here in my blog. I think it’s better to see the clothes actually worn on a normal day, right? Or would you rather see me wearing them on a runway? Jk!
