I am not a fan of whitening products.
Although I must admit that I grew up in an environment which
pretty much makes fun of dark skinned girls so in my earlier years, I was using
whitening soaps and other such products to brighten up my skin. Early college,
my mom even paid for my weekly body scrub and bleaching because white is in and
dark skinned girls are often teased as being “negra” and such synonymous words.
After college, I learned to slowly appreciate my skin color
and now, I am proud to say that I am, indeed, a MORENA. I refrain from using
whitening soap but more of products which will enhance the natural color and
beauty of my skin. Hell, I was even happy when last time we went swimming, I
got a darker mocha-ish like skin
color. I felt really beautiful and I wish it wouldn’t change. Although in a few
days, I would become a bit brighter because my tan lines are starting to
disappear. BOO!
Forgive this long introduction though. I just love talking
about my love for my skin color. So, let’s now proceed to the tutorial, shall
we?
PRODUCTS USED:
FACE:
SanSan BB Cream | LA Colors Loose Powder in Medium | NYC Cheek Glow Powder
Blush in West Side Wine
EYES: Ever
Bilena Color Pencil in Brown | Ever Bilena Advanced HD Colorless Mascara | Revlon
ColorStay 16 Hour Eyeshadow in Inspired | SanSan Kohl Eyeliner in Brown |
Maybelline The Falsies Volum Express Waterproof in Brownish Black
LIPS: Lip
Ice Lip Balm in Orange Mandarin | Snoe Rouge Deluxe in Mauve Movement
HOW I DID IT:
Foundation routine! I used the my fingers to put the SanSan
BB Cream all over my face and topped it with the LA Colors Loose Powder in
Medium. Oh and I’m doing a review of this loose powder soon. I love how it
evens out my beautiful morena skin.
Now for the eyes, I filled my brows first with the Ever
Bilena Color Pencil in Brown then used the Ever Bilena Advanced HD Colorless
Mascara to set it. For the eyeshadow, I used the blue shade all over my lids
and then the purple shade on my crease and for highlighting my brow bone, I
used the white shade. Then, I used the SanSan Kohl Eyeliner in Black on my
waterline, curled my lashes and applied the Maybelline The Falsies Volum
Express Waterproof in Brownish Black afterwards.
For the finishing touches, I used the NYC Cheek Glow Powder
Blush in West Side Wine for my cheeks then used the Lip Ice Lip Balm in Orange
Mandarin to prep my lips for the Snoe Rouge Deluxe in Mauve Movement Lipstick
which I so love these past few days!
And that’s it! I called it my GLAMorena look. So for all the
morena girls like me there, I hope you could also share your GLAMorena look.
Send me the link at the comments section below so I can check them out, okay?
