Makeover Afternoon at Tinette & Co. Salon

I had to wake up early since I'd be coming all the way from Pampanga to attend this pampering event hosted by Tinette & Co. Salon in cooperation with Cynos and King Sue.  I know it will be worth it so off I go!

The commute going to Manila was easy breezy. I took the bus going to Pasay via Victory Liner and I was dropped off at Ayala. It took me almost two hours from San Fernando City of Pampanga going to Ayala. Honestly, it's not so bad because I remember when I used to work in Ortigas, all the way from Valenzuela,  commuting takes about the same amount of time.  Anyway, I took a cab going to San Antonio Plaza in Forbes and Tinette & Co. Salon was pretty easy to find!

I arrived at exactly 1:00 in the afternoon, which is the starting time for the event, and I was immediately directed to a seat so I can have my treatment then. I dropped my bag on the table and then my picture with my name and the logo of Cynos and Tinette & Co. Salon was placed on my area. Cool! I was also asked if I'd want some snacks before we proceed to the treatment so I grabbed some food, courtesy of King Sue, and a bottle of Sola and then I let the magic happen!

Jonas was my assigned stylist for that day. He showed me their color palette from Cynos and I chose  the Dark Golden Copper Blonde shade.  It was a subtle kind of red, which looks like it will give a nice glow when touched by the rays of the sun. LIKE! Jonas agreed and told me that it really is a nice shade for morena women, like me.

After applying the color on my hair... The waiting game. I wonder how it would look on my hair. But I didn't have to bore myself with those thoughts because they offered me a manicure using the Shellac Power Polish, which is a gel polish. You know how more expensive and more pretty gel polishes are... So, who am I to refuse? I chose the Hollywood shade from Shellac, which is a sexy red kind of color, and I would be posting a separate review of the polish as per my experience in another blog post so better watch out for that.

After the manicure and the waiting game for my hair is over, Jonas shampooed and conditioned my hair and started blow drying it so I can finally have a good look at his job. My verdict? I LOVE IT!

I remember how I'd have a 50/50 chance of getting my wanted color because of how I often do DIY coloring. When I had my hair color done, professionally, there were times when my scalp would itch because of how strong the chemicals are. I didn't really complain because my hair coloring was fairly cheap that time; but with the Cynos hair coloring partnered by the professional service of Tinette & Co. Salon, I didn't feel any itch and I got the hair color I was really expecting.

When I, finally, saw the end result of the coloring I just told Jonas... "Ang ganda niya talaga!" (It's really beautiful). And true enough, the color I chose matched my skin tone and glowed beautifully under the sun. Jonas advised me to get regular treatments to protect my hair color and my hair's health as well. He, even, recommended me to get a Brazilian Blow Out every 3 months to revive my hair because I told him the story of my long wavy hair (my regular readers would be able to relate to this) and how I had to cut it because it has become unhealthy. I didn't know that a Brazilian Blow Out can revive such damaged hair. Oh, I wish I met Jonas earlier.

The long travel going to Forbes and going back to Pampanga was, definitely, worth it. I have a gorgeous hair color and nails. What more can a girl ask for?

  5. You already look gorgeous when you walked in the salon in my opinion, but I have to agree, your hair color looks great! :)

I love gel polishes, but I've not tried this brand, will definitely wait for your post then. :)

I have virgin hair, so I've never had it colored or rebonded or anything, but I am curious about that Brazilian Blowout. :)
