If you have been following my blog since day one, you
probably already know how I am not a big fan of whitening products. I’m one of
those who prefer a morena skin. I love going to the beach just because I’ll get
those tan lines and there was even a time when I almost went in a tanning salon…
Almost because I realized that I don’t need it and it would only be a waste of
money; unless of course I’d go Ganguro, that’ll be a different story.

Spa Finder PH - Spoiling the Spa Freak in Me
In my last blog post, I did tell you I'm a spa freak and I
do keep a checklist as to what makes a spa perfect for me. Last night (or maybe
it was this morning LOL), I received a great news that will spoil the spa freak
in me more.

What Makes A Perfect Spa For Me
I am a spa freak. I love spa hopping here in San Fernando,
Pampanga. I went from getting a massage every other week to doing it two times
a week because of stress at work! But since I'm back to saving money again and
I have realized that it's not THAT necessary as long as I know how to balance
my time well and get to put "rest" back in my vocabulary, I reduced
it to, again, every other week.

The Nail Axis Experience
And so the first quarter of the year is coming to an end,
and with that comes tons of reports and more planning to do. A promotion does
mean more money but it also means more work of course. Aside from my fulltime
job, I also have my blogging to think about. That's the reason why I only blog
two to three times a week. I want blogging to be something I do for fun and not
something to stress about; so if I have got nothing special to say that can
help my readers, I'd rather not push myself to write just for the sake of
having something posted.

Makeover Afternoon at Tinette & Co. Salon
I had to wake up early since I'd be coming all the way from
Pampanga to attend this pampering event hosted by Tinette & Co. Salon in
cooperation with Cynos and King Sue. I
know it will be worth it so off I go!
The commute going to Manila was easy breezy. I took the bus
going to Pasay via Victory Liner and I was dropped off at Ayala. It took me
almost two hours from San Fernando City of Pampanga going to Ayala. Honestly,
it's not so bad because I remember when I used to work in Ortigas, all the way
from Valenzuela, commuting takes about
the same amount of time. Anyway, I took
a cab going to San Antonio Plaza in Forbes and Tinette & Co. Salon was
pretty easy to find!

Feeling like a Princess at the Duchess Lash Bar & Spa
Stress – We have been best friends these past few days. I
have been rushing some deadlines at work, revising some articles and covering
events that soon as I get back home I’d rather just sleep, maybe tweet a few
things and just rest. Lately, I’ve been drained of all my creative juices that
I tried sitting in front of my laptop, about to blog and nothing comes out. And
when that happens, you know that’s bad.

Because Real Women Shouldn't Have a Mustache
We’re all mabalbon in
the family. Even the hair on my head grows faster than how the normal hair
grows that’s why I’m not quite scared of trying out new hair styles because
hair grows back fast just like that. I have hair on my arm but it looks really
feminine and I find it quite sexy so no problem about that. However, even way
back in high school, I’ve had problems with my hairy legs. I mean if they’re
the sexy kind of hair, I wouldn’t mind it but they’re kind of curly, EWW! I
know. I even have noticeable hair on my upper lip... Double EWW! I mean, no
offense to those who do have ‘em too, and to those who will get mad at me for
thinking this is not a good thing. Please let’s not get started with, “this is what God gave me so I should accept
it for what it is...” Just like how my wanting to lose weight, this is just
about the same. I want to do something about the hair on my upper lip because
it doesn’t please me and I want to look better. It’s not about not having
enough confidence; it’s about investing and putting in effort to improve
yourself.

Lawiswis Kawayan
We did not expect to end up here; but we're glad we did. I already blogged about our trip to Bataan and Subic so for all my regular readers, I know you're already aware of the details as to how we ended up in this resort and spa. The Lawiswis Kawayan Garden Resort and Spa is in Calumpit, Bulacan. If you're looking for a place where you can just relax and take a break from all the hustles and bustles in the city, this is the place to be.

The Nail Corner Experience
I loooooove pampering myself and trying out new spa around town. So when I saw The Nail Corner at SM City Marilao, I said to myself, "I should give this place a try!" Aside from that eagerness inside me, another thing popped in my mind, how can a nail salon click here in SM City Marilao? I mean, don't get me wrong, but I often see nail salons at high end malls or malls around manila, or at places where there's definitely people who wouldn't mind spending a lot of money to pamper themselves. This is actually the first nail salon I've seen near my place. Not even SM Valenzuela has a nail salon. So this particular nail spa really caught my attention.

NOTW: The Jennifer Lynn Experience
When was the last time I posted a Nail Of The Week blog entry? Been a long time, huh? Over the past few days, I have been quite focused on writing reviews because there's just so many products I've been dying to share with you guys, and of course, my thoughts on them and some recommendations. You see, I believe blogging is more than just showing you guys what my passion is, it's also a way on how we can share our thoughts on stuff which can help us in deciding about a certain product or would also serve as a guide for us impulsive shoppers.

The Spa Experience

| Going to the private tent for my facial express |
It's been a long time since I last had a pampering session. It's because of my very busy sched and although it sounds impossible, I wish I could be pampered for less than an hour because time is very precious to me.
It was impossible until I've found out about The Spa's Express Facial. It's a 30-minute facial which uses Pevonia Botanica products. Well, I've had facials from other derm clinics and I thought this will just be a normal facial experience to me; but it wasn't.

| I want this at home! Hahaha! :) |
When I walked inside The Spa's Trinoma branch, you will feel the relaxing ambiance even from the reception area. Since it's my first time at The Spa, I filled up a sheet and then they gave me a key for my locker. The attendant inside gave me my robe and slippers and asked if I want a shower. If only I don't have my period that day I would have said yes but I just changed to my robes and headed to the couches inside a more dimly lit room. She, then, offered me ginger tea which tasted a bit spicy but still sweet. I loved the taste.

| Happy and satisfied Gelleesh! :) |
Upon finishing my ginger tea, I was lead to my own tent (cool) and I felt the relaxing Mediterranean ambiance inside. As I sat on the soft reclining couch, the background music adds up on the relaxing feel. The name of my therapist was Jhen and she handled my face softly and that is how someone should treat a face. Unlike the other facials I've had wherein the therapist would make "chika" all throughout the whole process; thus preventing you from relaxing, my therapist here was very subtle and really made me relax throughout the whole process.
My favorite part was actually the last massage. It made me crave for a massage treatment next time. After the whole procedure was done, Jhen humbly asked if I would like a tip envelope and with what she did of course I said yes. She offered me another cup of ginger tea then after finishing it, I changed to my normal clothes and went out with a smile etched on my face until I got home and went to sleep.
I promised myself I would come back at least once or two times a month. The relaxing experience I had there was amazing and I know I'm worth it. The Express Facial costs P700-P900 and promise, it is all worth it.
The Spa Branches are located at: Acropolis | Trinoma | Alabang | Greenbelt | The Fort | Rockwell | Eastwood and you can visit them on the web at http://www.thespa.com.ph.
P.S. I forgot my camera so sorry for the low-res photos. I was almost late for work that day that's why I accidentally left my camera. See? I need to relax! Hahaha!

SPA-rfect Afternoon at Beauty & Butter
It has been one hell of a tiring day for me as I fixed some papers in the morning and had to walk long because I actually got half lost. After I've finished fixing the paper works, I decided to give myself a little break by heading to Megamall. I was actually thinking of Retail Theraphy; but my feet are too tired of the long walk and shopping means I'd have to walk again. Then, I found myself standing in front of Beauty & Butter.
The place looks awesome. With the graffiti outside, plus the cool comfy look inside, it just pulls you in the mood for some pampering. I looked at my poor tired feet and it was screaming for some pampering; so who am I to say no. After all, I owe my feet a lot.
There is this common misconception that salons and spas in malls are supercalifragilistic-chuchu expensive; but believe me, Beauty and Butter was really affordable. I chose to have the Foot Spa + Pedicure and Nail Polish package for only PHP560.00.

| Free iPad use! |
So there I was sitting on a very cute colored comfy reclining chair, drinking my frappe while my feet were smiling happily and ready for the foot spa when one of the attendants offered me to use their iPad. Who am I to say no? I immediately opened my twitter, facebook, blog and played Plants Vs. Zombies. It just totally made me feel at home.
I've tried foot spas before from other spa places and some of them kind of almost hurt; but the attendant who did mine was very careful; but at the same time, you can feel that you feet really are getting cleaned and all. After like 3 months, this would be my first pedicure from outside of the comforts of my own home. After an incident with our local manicurista wherein my toe nail was slightly murdered (LOL), I didn't have my nails touched by anyone else anymore until now.

| Drying my nail polish! :D |
The attendant's hand was very light and there was absolutely no pain. She said that there is no need to remove the ingrown as I do not have them. I was more than relieved. I also loved the color she put on my nails. She said they'll last really long. Oh and they had this dryer thingy to dry your nail polish. No need for that slow-motion moment when you're putting on your slippers. Hahaha!

| Who says only penguins can have Happy Feet? LOL |
The Beauty & Butter branches are quite far from where I live; but I promised myself to give time for it since my feet shouted with joy after that nice pampering session. It definitely is worth it. Plus I told my mom and sister that I'd bring them there.
Beauty & Butter also has Facials which are very specific depending on your skin type (I need to try this next time), waxing and threading services, massage services and many more. This is definitely a one-stop spa for your vanity needs. Affordable, comfortable, great ambiance and great service - where else can you find that all in one place?
Beauty & Butter Branches are located in: 2/F SM San Lazaro | 2/F Entertainment Mall Mall of Asia | 5/F Megamall Atrium | 2F North Wing SM Cebu
