Going Curly and Getting Bangs

I’ve been super busy with my full-time work lately that’s why I’ve been gone from blogging for almost a month. But hey, I’m back and with a new hair style! So what’s up with the new hair, you ask?

Why I Need to Leave My Pink Hair – For the Meantime

Priorities.

We are sometimes torn between our priorities and wants; and for the longest time I have envied those people who can sport a crazy-colored hair because that is something I have been wanting to do ever since. So what’s stopping me, you ask? Well… Work.

Snoe Hair Heroes Spectrum

It’s no secret how I get easily bored with my hair; either I’m going to impulsively cut it or get it colored. And as most of you already know, I had my hair colored pink last December and it was one of the best decisions I’ve made EVER. It’s sad though that I had to bid goodbye to my hair after two months because of (1) work and (2) personal reasons. I will tell you all about my new color in a separate blog post so for now, let’s focus on the product review, yes?

Pink Hair, Don't Care

It’s something I have been wanting to do for like three or four years now. If only my work allows it, I would have had multi-colored hair years ago and you probably would already be tired of it. Well, I’m still with the NGO I have been working with for almost five years now but how, right? Well let me tell you the story then:

Short Hair, Don't Care

A month ago I decided to have the tips of my hair bleached and (supposedly) turned into a darker shade of red; but fortunately (yes, FORTUNATELY), the stylist made it pink and I loved it so much. However, one afternoon while I am on my way back home from work, I got irritated with how my hair touches my nape and my neck and it was just so hot. And so I happened to pass by this newly opened salon near the tricycle terminal where I got off, went in and told them, "CUT MY HAIR SHORT! MAINIT! (It's hot)"

A Beautiful Accident: Pink, Red - Whatever You Want it to Be

I believe that a person's individuality is something that we should all accept and respect as it is what makes a person beautiful in his or her own way. I, myself, have struggled before into trying to fit in because I thought that by being like everyone else, I would be loved and accepted the way I wanted to be loved and accepted; but as it turns out, trying to fit in will leave this empty space in your heart - the desire to let yourself free and let yourself be heard but you cannot out of fear of being deemed as an outcast. No one, intentionally, wants to be an outcast. Everyone wants to belong, to be loved and to be accepted and so we look for ways to erase that uniqueness in us just because the "society" says they cannot accept it.

Cynos Moisture Deep Recovery Hair Mask

As most of you might have known, I had my hair colored AGAIN. Actually, my plan was to just have my roots retouched and get the ends of my hair in a richer red color but it actually turns out to be a more, hmm... flashy kind of red which, apparently, isn't the kind my work would approve of. Initially I was like, "WTF happened?!" But after a few minutes, I smiled and told myself, "I think I kind of love it." However, again, my work might not be very approving of it so when I'm at work I usually tie it in a bun; and aside from that, the bleaching and coloring kind of made my hair brittle and damaged. Oh dear.

Thinking of a New Do for 2015

Remember when I had this haircut last January 2014?
I am itching to get a new cut. A few weeks ago I went to the salon with my family and my two sisters got their hair cut before their classes commence and I also listed my name on my favorite stylist's paper but it was taking so long for my turn; so I cancelled and assumed I am not meant to have a shorter this first quarter of 2015.

The Story of My New Hair Color (Cynos Dark Golden Copper Blonde)

I'm the kind of girl who gets easily bored with her hair; however, I don't just cut it without any intention of overly analyzing why I needed the cut or have it colored without interpreting what my current mood or emotions are like. That's just how I roll. That is why every physical change I manifest means something to me from the inside as well; because I don't just want to see the change, I want to really feel it within me, as well.

Cynos Argan Oil Shine & Shield Spray

When I chopped off a big chunk of my hair to bring it back to a healthier state, I have, finally, admitted that my hair will never be healthy and beautiful as before if I don't take good care of it and taking care it. Keeping our hair healthy and beautiful isn't something we do out of just superficial reasons. Our hair is part of our system and it protects our head from being overly exposed to various things especially the harmful rays of the sun, right? So, why not take good care of that beautiful crown atop your head that also takes good care of you? Fair deal?

Makeover Afternoon at Tinette & Co. Salon

I had to wake up early since I'd be coming all the way from Pampanga to attend this pampering event hosted by Tinette & Co. Salon in cooperation with Cynos and King Sue.  I know it will be worth it so off I go!

The commute going to Manila was easy breezy. I took the bus going to Pasay via Victory Liner and I was dropped off at Ayala. It took me almost two hours from San Fernando City of Pampanga going to Ayala. Honestly, it's not so bad because I remember when I used to work in Ortigas, all the way from Valenzuela,  commuting takes about the same amount of time.  Anyway, I took a cab going to San Antonio Plaza in Forbes and Tinette & Co. Salon was pretty easy to find!

My Amazing Blow Dry Secret Shampoo and Conditioner

Isn’t it AMAZING?

Okay, I haven’t seen the movie yet (Bride 4 Rent) but I can’t help but use this line whenever I would talk about the “My Amazing Blow Dry Secret” because I am LITERALLY amazed at how such a product can exist. At first I don’t want to believe it; but when I tried it out, I guess you can say, “To see is to believe.

There's Something About Girls and Cutting their Hair

What did you do to your hair?!

I’ve had mixed reactions with regard to my hair. People have become so used to my long and wavy do that the sudden cut back to a short hair devastated a lot of people I know. I would have to admit that there would be times when I wish I can still have my wavy hair back again and just flip it like that again; but now I can’t. It’s just now that I have come to realize that cutting a girl’s hair that short is a bit like breaking up with someone.

My Amazing Blow Dry Secret is now Revealed!

OMG Late na naman ako!

This has been one of my most abused lines every morning. I wake up 4:00 AM just to get my hair and makeup done. Hey, I don’t even put much color on my face or whatever. It’s just that I want to have a more relaxed morning so I take a bath slowly and comfortably, enjoy my Arabica well and do my makeup and hair carefully. That is why as much as possible, I wish I can get some of my products performing really well so I can do things faster without the need to wait too long especially when drying up my hair. What to do when I want to sport beach wave hair and it’s taking too long to dry! I’d rather be late; but if I can improve things, why wouldn’t I?

Achieving that Sexy Beach Wave Hair

I am not the kind who dreams of having that overly rebonded straight hair. Don’t get me wrong, I have nothing against those who prefer that, but there’s something sexy about that beach wave (or any kind of waves, I just prefer beach waves) hair paired with our natural Filipina morena skin tone.

The So Gelleesh Second Blog Anniversary Giveaway

Happy June everyone! I don’t know if some of you guys remember but I hope at least one or two does but this June marks my 2nd year as a beauty and fashion blogger of So Gelleesh. I can’t believe my blog is already two years old! I know I have been a bit low on posts for the late 2012 and early 2013 but I’ve been doing my best to keep up because writing is my first love so even though I am pretty stressed out with work (still writing) leaving blogging would never be an option. Through blogging I have met awesome friends and new people who contributed to who I am today and to the improvements I have made not only in the art of makeup and fashion but also in dealing with life.

Cynos Morocco Argan Oil

When I first heard about the Argan Oil, I was a bit in doubt because how could such an awesome product exist? It has promises way beyond than that of a politician that’s why I couldn’t help but think of it as a hoax or whatever. At some point, I think it will eventually die down and people will move on to another miracle beauty product. But I guess there would be those rare moments when it may sound like it’s too good to be true but it really is the truth. We just can’t do something about that, right?

Cynos Pliancy Shampoo and Conditioner

Maintaining a healthy and vibrant looking hair is one of my missions as a beauty warrior (okay, blogger). I have been known as the girl who is very adventurous with her hair and all and I’ve ruined my hair a couple of times too but it’s all in the past now. I have learned how to really take care of my hair and just because I want to look edgy and fierce and all that means that I have to let my hair suffer. Our hair, after all, is our crowning glory. Have you experienced having a bad hair day? Doesn’t it totally just ruin your mood? You become less productive, you feel less beautiful and you become less confident. I spot a lot of less there, eh? So choosing the right products to help you along the way is really crucial.

Getting My Hair Color Done Professionally Again

Sporting my new hair color with family loooooves <3

I need to have my freakin’ hair colored again! The black roots are starting to show and, man, it’s not a pretty sight. I’ve been contemplating on what color I should use on my hair next. Maybe I’d go back to the violet I’ve lost after a few days or maybe go blonde again but not bleached, though. Well, blonde won! So there off I went to Etude House to buy a Gold Blonde Bubble Hair Color. I looked at the shelves and there was none. “Oh my,” I blurted silently. So I approached one of the attendants and asked where their bubble hair colors are and she said, “Wala pa pong delivery ma’am eh...” Oh, man. It’s not every day that I can just go to SM North so I was disappointed - VERY DISAPPOINTED.
