FOTD: Maleficent Inspired Office Makeup Look

"I had wings once, and they were strong. They could carry me above the clouds and into the headwinds, and they never faltered. Not even once." - Maleficent

The other day, I watched Maleficent with one of my closest friends, Ros. I have long wanted to watch the movie but have been delaying because, again, of my ever busy working schedule. So, when Ros asked me to see the movie with her after work, I immediately said yes.

This makeup look was a subtle Maleficent good-for-office version. I just focused on the purple eyeshadow and some blending here and there.

When Maleficent's wings were taken from her, I felt her pain and anguish as it has really gotten to the core of my emotions and how things have been before in my life. I won't, further, go into details with regard to that; but just like Maleficent, I found a deeper purpose now and a reason to move forward and be a better person rather than to seek revenge and, eventually, get hurt in the process.

PRODUCTS USED:

FACE: L’Oreal le teint True Match in Nude Beige | Jane Be Pure Mineral Crushed Powder in Medium | Shiseido Bronzer in Dark Fonce | SanSan Cheek Blusher in Rosy Blush

EYES:  Ever Bilena Color Pencil in Brown | SanSan CYO Eyeshadow in Purple Amethyst | Clinique Color Surge Eyeshadow Duo (Darker Brown Shade) | Revlon ColorStay 16 Hour Eyeshadow in Inspired (White Shade) |Virginia Olsen Mineral Eyeshadow in Gold Bars | SanSan Waterproof Eyeliner Pen in Black | SanSan Kohl Eyeliner in Black | Clinique High Impact Mascara in Black

LIPS: Crazy Rumors Lip Balm in Peppermint Twist | NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss in Plush Red

HOW I DID IT:

I started off with applying a pump of the L’Oreal le teint True Match in Nude Beige as my foundation and then half a pump for my under eye area. Then, I used the Jane Be Pure Mineral Crushed Powder in Medium to set it all and proceeded with the eyes.

For my eyes, I used the Ever Bilena Color Pencil in Brown for filling in my brows, then used the SanSan CYO Eyeshadow in Purple Amethyst all over my lids. I used the Clinique Color Surge Eyeshadow Duo (Darker Brown Shade) on my crease, the Revlon ColorStay 16 Hour Eyeshadow in Inspired (White Shade) on my brow bone and the Virginia Olsen Mineral Eyeshadow in Gold Bars on my inner eye corners. Then, I used the SanSan Waterproof Eyeliner Pen in Black on my upper lid, the SanSan Kohl Eyeliner in Black on my waterline and the Clinique High Impact Mascara in Black on my lashes after curling them.

Then, I used the Shiseido Bronzer in Dark Fonce for contouring my jaw line and the SanSan Cheek Blusher in Rosy Blush for my cheeks. After that, I applied the Crazy Rumors Lip Balm in Peppermint Twist on my lips topping it with the NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss in Plush Red for those red luscious lips.

I would love to do a complete Maleficent look; but since I'm going to work, an inspired one will do. Hope you like it!
