FOTD: Summer Siren

It has been raining pretty hard lately and because of the typhoons, which has been hitting our country recently. We have been experiencing a lot of challenges that requires our tough spirit and strong will to overcome. At times like these, I miss summer. Although I hate how hot it can be during that time of the year, how I would sweat endlessly if I'm out, and personally I love the cold summer rainy days; I miss going out and not having to worry about bringing an umbrella, I miss going to work all dry and I miss not having to worry if there would be a power interruption or if it's going to flood in our area.

And because I miss summer, I created a makeup look which would remind me of it. At least if I can't experience summer right now, why not show it on my face, instead? This is a subtle makeup look with touches of orange and yellow and nude color on my lips.

PRODUCTS USED:

FACE:  Rimmel Stay Matte Clarifying Matte Foundation in Soft Beige | ELF Studio Pressed Powder in Almond | NYC Cheek Glow Powder Blush in West Side Wine

EYES: Ever Bilena Eyebrow Pencil in Brown | Miss Bella Cosmetics 120 Color Rainbow Palette | SanSan Gel Eyeliner in Brown | SanSan Kohl Eyeliner in Black | Clinique High Impact Mascara in Black

LIPS: Crazy Rumors Lip Balm in Peppermint Twist | Skin Food The Chocolate Makes You More Sweet and Deep Choco Smoky Lip Color

HOW I DID IT:

First, I squeezed out a drop of the Rimmel Stay Matte Clarifying Matte Foundation in Soft Beige at the back of my hand and applied it all over my face using my fingers and blended it well. Then, I added half a drop at the back of my hand again and applied more on my under eye area to get rid of 'em eye bags! Teehee! After that, I set the foundation with the ELF Studio Pressed Powder in Almond and a subtle swipe of blush on my cheeks using the NYC Cheek Glow Powder Blush in West Side Wine.

For the eyes, I used the Ever Bilena Eyebrow Pencil in Brown to fill my brows. No more brow mascara for now 'cos I run out and I've been too busy lately to go to the mall and buy. Boo! So, now, I will proceed to the colors. From my Miss Bella Cosmetics 120 Color Rainbow Palette, I used the #1 shade all over my lids, #2 on my crease, #4 on my outer crease (to create a more prominent and darker shade) and #4 on my inner eye corner (because my stye's all healed now!). Then, I used the SanSan Gel Eyeliner in Brown to line my upper lid and the SanSan Kohl Eyeliner in Black to line a quarter of my waterline. I, then, curled my lashes and applied the Clinique High Impact Mascara in Black on them.

For my lips, I used the Crazy Rumors Lip Balm in Peppermint Twist first and then topped it with that sweet lip color called SkinFood The Chocolate Makes You More Sweet and Deep Choco Smoky Lip Color. Cute name, no?

Summer has its pros and cons and during these challenging times when we're all preparing for the next typhoon, we miss summer and sweating. If you don't, well, I do. Stay safe and dry, everyone!

  5. Oh. I love the look! oranges and yellows sure is perfect for summer look. And since you're out of brow mascara, I should suggest something to ya. Try the Kate Brow Mascara. It's really good and long lasting. I think it cost around P300 something. :)

  9. Love your summer-inspired makeup look! <3 Hay.. Ako naman, I don't like summer that much, but I definitely don't like the rainy season more. The perfect season for me is the chilly but not rainy December to Jan/Feb. :)
