FOTD: Casual Weekend Makeup Look

It’s been awhile since I last posted a makeup look, right? I’ve been keeping my look really simple these past few months because I’ve been really busy and stressed with a lot of things; but still there are some people who have asked me about the makeup look I normally wear on my selfie photos. I guess it’s still worth blogging about eh?

By the way, I just got a new nude lipstick from MAC which is their Satin Lipstick in Cherish shade and I’ve been loving it so far. So today’s makeup look is inspired by this nude lipstick partnered with my casual weekend makeup look which some of you kind of want to know about. Let’s start?

LIPS: MAC Satin Lipstick in Cherish

HOW I DID IT:

After moisturizing my face (skin care routine blog post coming soon!), I applied the L’Oreal True Match Foundation in N7 (Nude Ambre) all over my face and neck. After blending, I applied the MAC Mineralize Concealer in NW35 next on my undereye area, in an inverted triangular way and then blended it gently using my ring finger and then used the Flormar Invisible Loose Powder in Silver Sand to set it all.

For the eyes, I lined first the lower part of my brows and then the upper part using the In2IT Triangular Eyebrow Liner in WTB02 (Tawny) then blended it inward using a brow brush. After that, I used the darkest brown shade in my NYX Escape with Rico 3 Color Shadow Palette in Love in Rio for the crease area, lined my upper lids using the Maybelline Hyper Sharp Liner, used the white shade in my Revlon Color Stay 16 Hour Eye Shadow Palette in Inspired on my lower lashline and then curled my lashes using my Shu Uemura eyelash curler and the Maybelline The Hyper Curl Volum Express Waterproof in Very Black.

The lips didn’t need much working. Just a glide and a few dabs of the MAC Satin Lipstick in Cherish and it’s done!

I love how this look enhances and brings out the beauty of my skin color. I know most Filipinas would want to look fairer or whiter but not me. I love my color and I love doing makeup looks that will enhance and make it stand out more.
