The 6th Backdoor Ventures Arts & Music Festival

I can honestly say that me and my siblings have our own individual and unique creativeness. I'm pretty okay in drawing, doodling and stuff like that; my younger sister, Czai of TheBlackSheeproject.blogspot.com, has really awesome drawing and Digital Arts skills; while my youngest sister, Christine of Kimtabulous.blogspot.com is pretty much into arts and crafts. I really dunno where we got it 'cos our parents aren't really creative and all that; nor are they good in drawing but we somehow managed to acquire those skills. So, when I was e-mailed about the 6th Backdoor Ventures Arts & Music Festival , I immediately told my two sisters about it.

Tattoo My Colors

Just this week, I received a message from Viva Andrada of Fashion Art (F*ART). She invited me to an event in the F*ART g allery which is titled, Tattoo My Colors (hence the title of my post). Upon seeing the title I was like... Body art? Then I saw the poster... An art exhibit and the sample art works on the invitation are just a smashing beauty of colors. You see, I've been an art appreciator ever since. I consider myself artistic... In my own way, that is. Haha! But I'm more of a writer so... There!

Let's Go Farther with F*ART

FART. You must be giggling right now. Well, it's not really FART as in literally, the gas coming out of your butt crack. F*ART actually, as in Fashion and ART. Pretty cool name, right? Last Saturday, February 4, 2012, I attended the F*ART party after receiving an email invitation from Viva Andrada, one of the two owners of this very cool store. There are two reasons why they threw a F*ART party: It's F*ART's 5th anniversary party and it also serves as Happy Andrada's send off party. Happy's the other owner of F*ART. Cool names, right? Viva and Happy.

Freeway Art: Vicente Manansala

October 18, 2011 - Freeway launched its sixth installment of the National Artist Collectors' Series honoring Vicente Manansala, the National Artist for Visual Arts. The event was held at The Row in Glorietta 5 and was attended by fashion and art enthusiasts, media, bloggers and of course, the family and friends of Manansala.

Tim Yap and Divine Lee
Ronna Manansala | Cedie Lopez-Vargas | Marites Mendoza-Pineda
The event was hosted by Tim Yap and Divine Lee who were both wearing Manansala outfits. They just look oh-so-gorgeous and hotness. The event's very special guests are Maritess Mendoza-Pineda, President of Friends of Manansala Foundation, Cedie Lopez-Vargas of the Lopez Museum and the granddaughter of Vicente Manansala, Ronna Manansala.

I'm overwhelmed with the beautiful collection Freeway has presented. From the cool crop tops to the gorgeous mini-dress, definitely a must-have for everyone who is in love with fashion and art. The models were also wearing shoes designed by Carmina Villaroel whose shoe line is named: MuñizShoes. Gorgeous makeup by the models was done by Margo Sarmiento and hair were by Nina Escano, Charlene Manibo and Ana Liza Sulthan.

Down at the ground floor of Glorietta 5, the artists from the Kunst Pilipino Group were sketching live before the event. Artists present were: Aris Bagtas | Sam Bulaga | Allen Casacop | Emer Casacop | Jo Florendo | Lourdes Inosanto | Lawton Ladao | Raquel Molata | Bill Perez | Mischa Semana.

With Chuvaness
With Divine Lee
I enjoyed the event with some of my blogger friends and I am definitely buying something from this collection soon and will, of course, blog about it too. I also had the privilege of having a picture with Divine Lee and the one and only, Chuvaness! Oh, and thanks to Freeway for the fab gift. I'm definitely using the mouse pad at the office. I'm a proud owner now of a Manansala piece.
